A chance search on Google Maps found this place in Cremorne for a catch up dinner with some interstate friends. I booked it sight unseen based solely on the glowing reviews and I'm pleased to say we weren't disappointed.This tiny restaurant in a little mall of Military Road serves Korean and Japanese food but people at the next table recommended the Korean BBQ on the table so we went with that.The food was super fresh and tasty, the table service was quick, friendly and attentive. Having had Korean BBQ at other locations around Sydney, we rate this place as being on par if not better than some of the others we've been to. After a menulog system failure and a complete lack of customer service we were left with no idea if our delivery order had been processed despite menulog site confirming it had been submitted. A call to the restaurant confirmed they didn't have the order, but subsequent attempts to contact menulog all ended in frustration. Thankfully the restaurant called us back shortly thereafter, took our order by phone, and then had it delivered promptly on what must have been a busy Saturday night. And the food was delicious. We went at dinner time in summer season. It's ones of the nicest place I have ever been; it's not luxury or big restaurant, but the atmosphere in this restaurant is unique. The waiters are the nicest people I have ever seen doing the best job and offering the best customers service %. The food is delicious: Kingfish jalapeno, Karaaje and the Beef Bibimbap are the best. I recommend this place for family dinners and romantic dates.
The food is absolutely amazing here.I highly recommend getting the vege kakiage don buri which is hands down their best dish in my opinion.Usually my go to for dinner if I have the money, unfortunately, this restaurant isn't cheap.I am also not a fan of the $45 minimum order for delivery.Would order more often if this was removed.Delivery is never less than an hour but never longer than an hour. Food was excellent, brilliant flavours 10/10 would recommend very fast service however one of the staff when asks what the special of the day was yesterda he did not know, this is important as it demonstrates the special of the day is of the day not the week. He was only white which took away from the authenticity of a korean restaurant not to sound racist. However awesome food u should go.
Nice enough if you're dropping by. It's just off very busy Military road so the ambience isn't great but they do their best. Pretty expensive for what you get $20 for pork bulgogi, which isn't that different from a pork stir fry from any old takeaway in the 80s. The katsu schnitzel curry seemed to be made from Keen's curry paste. Overall, nothing offensive.
This has been our go-to restaurant for years. The food is delicious! Sylvia and her staff are brilliant - they make us feel incredibly welcome, and we always enjoy relaxing meals here in all seasons. The Korean BBQ is our absolute favourite, but we enjoy everything on the menu.
We love this restaurant, formally known as Sylvias Kitchen! Its a nice atmoshphere on a warm evening to dine outside. have the bbq, staff are so friendly, especially Grace who we see every time we are there. Also family friendly. We sat outside and had a good meal. It was not the best Korean experience but it was an honest and decent place. We were served by a friendly and obliging person.
