This is hands down the best Indian food I have ever had. I travel for my work, and I've tried Indian all over the country, and have yet to find one that compares to this. The food is fantastic, the service exceptional, and the owner! The owner is simply amazing. His energy, hospitality, and graciousness are beyond expectations. He should open a school to teach restaurant owners and staff how its done. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in the world. 5 stars for everything. Service was amazing to say the least. Everyone was so kind and really went above and beyond for us. We ordered garlic naan and chicken tikka masala curry. Both were fantastic. Food came out quickly and tasted just perfect. mango lassi drink was very tasty as well. This is a true Indian restaurant ran by people who are actually from India. They know what they are doing and they do it extremely well. If you want authentic Indian food then you have to come here if you’re anywhere near the Kansas City metro area. The owner of the restaurant is friendly, charming, and elegant. The service is top-notch, but the curries are below average and served in small portions. The Goan chicken curry lacked authentic Goan flavors and seemed diluted. We also tried another curry which tasted the same, indicating that the same sauce was used for both dishes. It appears that a base masala sauce is used for all curries, despite the prices being comparable to those of high-end restaurants.
I really enjoy eating at this restaurant! My partner and I tried the dinner for two which included chicken samosas, coconut soup, lamb saag, basmati rice, chicken tikka masala, naan, and gulab jamun. Delicious food and chai. The owner is a vibrant man and very excited to share his food and culture with people. I especially recommend the chicken goa curry and dal makhni. The mango rose Lassi, gulab jamun, and papadam were also a hit with my group.
An instant favorite. Great food, wonderful customer service, reasonable prices. I've only been here twice, but it's already at the top of my list for restaurants in the Overland Park area
