We love Riverside and try to find at least one mom and pop place to stop heading in or out of the area. This time we found Kountry Folls and so glad we did! When I say right off the freeway i mean it. So easy for us to get right back on the road after such a tasty meal. We love a good breakfast in our house and these portions kept us full and happy all the way home. Cute and cozy inside it really gives off that country feel. From the old school bar seating or the swing type benches in the waiting area. Service was awesome and we didn’t have to ask for anything. I’m typically not a fan of hash browns, but they were seasoned well and I ate them all. My daughter ordered what I think was called...
Being a transplant from Tennessee I often find myself needing a taste of home. This is hands down the best, most authentic Southern style food I have found on the West Coast. The okra tastes just like grandma’s, the fried pickles are the perfect crunch to get you started. I favor the country fried steak with gravy, it’s filling, flavor packed and will definitely put you in a good food nap kind of mood. If you get Andrew as a server, be prepared for the best, quickest, outstanding customer service you’ve ever received. This breakfast took me all the way back to my childhood memories of growing up in Georgia! The grits were perfect. Everything else was too! But grits?, in California??? WOW!!!
Very old school diner vibe with fantastic food. Get the chicken fried steak with a side of biscuits, grits, and add some Okra. You will not be disappointed!
