This cafe was formerly called Cafe on High, a delightfully friendly, no nonsense cafe with great food and coffee. Kuche, as it is now known, still has great food and coffee, but the prices have skyrocketed, presumably to recoup the cost of extensive renovations to appeal to the yuppie market. Service, whilst pleasant is no longer personable. As a result, it's now just another overpriced contender in the competitive Melbourne suburban cafe scene, with emphasis on commercial success at the expense of customer experience.
Friendly service and absolutely delicious food - the freshly made salads were tasty and the carrot/ginger/chilli soup was truly excellent. So much more that tempted me - we'll be back! The take-home options all looked fabulous too - far healthier than your average take-away and, again, we'll be keen to take advantage of these offerings in the future.
Fabulous food and friendly service. Beautiful pastries, salads and cakes all made fresh every day. Have been using Kuche for office catering for the past 6 months and they never disappoint. They bend over backwards to cover all dietary requirements. They also sell nutritious and tasty take home meals for nights when it's too crazy to cook yourself.
Great food all made on the premises by the owners.Very good take away meals that change all the time.Delicious cakes and pastries ,again all made on premises,and great salads that change each day,as well as a set breakfast and lunch menu.Really enjoying visiting.

Truly one of a fantastic breakfast and lunch spots I discovered in Melbourne. Spectacular cakes. all food was absolutely amazing. coffee was excellent.
I highly recommend this place! The food is incredible! I can't remember what the entree was called but it was cold and mincy and served with bread.
Bright airy cafe with good food and excellent coffee. Menu could be expanded with specials on weekends perhaps but otherwise great place!

I love a good Jägerschnitzel and Bierkeller Richmond did not disappoint.
Came here for lunch and ordered the pork knuckle and giant pretzel.
