I ordered the Makhani chicken curry, and the portion size was impressively priced compared to other places. The curry was exactly what I imagined and even better, loaded with tender chicken—I couldn't have asked for a better meal. I also tried the garlic naan, which was perfect for dipping or enjoying on its own! The staff even treated me to a complimentary mango lassi, which was so refreshing. Hidden gem in south Philly. Warm, clean, and friendly atmosphere. Employees make you feel very welcome. Food is delicious and fresh--the flavor of the tikka masala is my favorite of all the Indian food I've tried in Philly. They do a lot of takeout, but very cozy for eat-in as well. They let us try the vegetable pakora, and we had the chicken tikka masala and chicken curry that came with rice, and tried some pappadum. They offered spicy level of 1-5, and 4 definitely had some heat. I preferred the tikka masala sauce to the curry sauce, but both were good. Parking can be tricky in the area, but well worth the trip. Highly recommend it!
Had the absolute pleasure of eating lunch at Taste of Punjab today. They greeted me as if I was being welcomed into their home, giving me a seat right away and very quickly getting my order taken care of. The staff was kind enough to even offer a complimentary appetizer of the Mixed Vegetable Pakuras, which were the perfect start to the meal. Their Butter Chicken and rice were delicious, and the Garlic Naan couldn't have been a better compliment. They let me know they're approaching about 1 year of being open, and I hope they're here to stay. Can't wait for the next time back!

I had a strong desire for authentic Indian food, so I decided to try Taste of Punjab for takeout for the first time. After picking it up and enjoying it at home, I was blown away by the incredible flavors and textures! The dishes reminded me of the homemade Indian meals prepared with love by my friends' parents. The taste, portion sizes, and overall quality were exceptional. I will certainly be coming back. I rated it 4 stars for atmosphere, even though I didn't eat in, as the warmth and inviting ambiance were clearly noticeable. Thank you!
If you find this restaurant open, be sure to take the opportunity to dine there because the food is outstanding. Their posted hours on Google are often incorrect, and they may not answer the phone when you try to call. I've attempted to reach them several times without success, but it hasn't bothered me. The authentic Indian dishes are made with care, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I highly recommend this place.
Kurry Shack is one of the best places for Indian food in Philadelphia. Since my wife is Indian and we live in the city, we've tried many restaurants, but this one is consistently our favorite. We particularly love their butter chicken, korma, and amazing naan.
Owner was very nice (was from Gurdaspur). When he came to know I was also from the same city, he offered me more dal and subzi as a nice gesture. I felt really good meeting him.

Delicious Indian cuisine hidden away in the neighborhood. The staff is very friendly, and there are some unique and tasty dishes that you won't find at many other restaurants.
I had a fantastic experience at the restaurant, and the Chat Papri was definitely my favorite dish.
