"Very cozy and welcoming experience. Really enjoyed the Miso Soup and Salt Shiitake Kushimono mushroom grilled skewer best. The Yakitori sauce Momo Kushimono chicken thigh grilled skewer was good too. The House Dog and Yakisoba were an exciting different take than what we we were expecting. Upon arrival around 5:20, the host informed us that there wasn’t a sushi chef available, so no sushi or fish dishes could be ordered that evening. We decided to stay and try their Japanese hot dogs and ramen instead. Once seated, we discovered that about half the menu was unavailable, and the selection of tap beers was quite limited. very cozy and intimate. I have celebrated a start here with my partner and everything was phenomenal. I swear I had a religious experience with something sashimi. I had rams, kara old huh and binsho sashimi. I hadn't changed anything. the server was patient with our ignorance of certain sushi conditions and attention, also filled as the restaurant. the other thing I love about this place is that they removed tipping out of their service completely and a 19 service charge directly into the menu prices so that their personal a viable reward not under the laune of totally alien. it is nice that in the menu prices is to ensure that there is no bill shock at the end. loved my experience and will...
Don’t leave many reviews, but my first experience was not a good one. Good itself was fine, but maybe only come here if you need to slowly introduce people to Japanese food. More of a fusion place with unique ideas. What really killed my experience was the service. I’m one of the most patient around, but the service was just awful. Probably the worst I have had in years. Was greeted at the door with minimal enthusiasm, food took forever to arrive even just for gyoza and nobody really seemed like the cared to be there. There wasn’t even that many people there either. Could have been a bad night, but I won’t go back willingly unless Im out voted with a group.

The Hamachi roll was delicious, but I highly recommend trying the Pressed Sushi—it's a unique experience that packs a lot of flavor. Absolutely delicious! I had my sushi prepared right in front of me by the chef, who then personally handed it to me. Everything was fantastic, and I got to enjoy some unique flavors that I hadn't tried before. Be sure to order the seaweed salad—it's my go-to at any Japanese restaurant, but Kyatchi elevated it to another level! The atmosphere was cozy, making it ideal for a date night, and they offered a fun and creative cocktail menu. The happy hour specials were also excellent!
The service was friendly and attentive, but they were out of most drinks. Given the prices listed on the menu, we were hoping for something more exciting, especially since the descriptions of the rolls sounded creative and intriguing. Unfortunately, the sushi we received was decent but quite plain and unremarkable. The skewers were small and not worth the price. Additionally, the restaurant didn’t seem very clean and the decor felt rather chaotic. We won't be returning.
It was my first time visiting Minneapolis, and it was especially chilly when I arrived at the restaurant. The gentleman at the entrance was very professional and friendly. The orange dream cocktail was delightful and beautifully presented. The restaurant's atmosphere was quite calming. The tonkatsu was truly outstanding—I loved it! It was simple yet incredibly tasty, and I actually preferred it without the sauce. If I return to the city, I would definitely come back.

chef z is very passionate about his craft. I appreciate his hospitality and his efforts to make every bit amazing. he presented me a Nigiri court that was not on his menu consisting of marinated beet king salmon. fat and absolutely amazing. melt in your mouth. excellent and delicious. thank you. chef z. I'm gonna make this my new one in sushi spot.
