I had high hopes for Kyochon, my once-favorite spot for Korean fried chicken in Koreatown, but unfortunately, my recent experience has been disappointing. While the restaurant was once a standout in the area, it now falls short of the competition. The prices have increased, but the quality has gone downhill. With so many other great options in the neighborhood, it's hard to justify the cost of the meal at Kyochon.The chicken drumsticks were a particular letdown; they were skinny and lacking in meat, which made for a disappointing meal. Overall, while I used to love this restaurant, I can no longer recommend it as a top choice for Korean fried chicken in Koreatown.
My friend took me here and swore by it and I think it delivered. Overall I felt like it was a hair too expensive perhaps bc the wings were just kinda small but the flavor and texture was definitely there. Fell off the bone! Love that! Ordered: We shared a 12 piece sweet garlic combo paired w a salad. Service was pretty fast. Interesting tho- even if you dine in they will put everything in to go boxes. Very causal ambiance. They were playing pop music, had a screen, nothing crazy. I'd come back if I was in town.
This place is a freaking joke. The people who work here are rude as hell. I asked them to clean the table so we can sit and they rudely pointed me to a paper towel by the door and to do it myself. I could not believe it. They proceeded to take my order and rushing me. It was horrible dealing with these employees. This guy was extremely rude and didn't give a s at all. The food is decent but this place needs to hire better people that are nicer and more professional.
smoked fire chicken wing flavor- pretty good and it did come w/ lots of pieces so very fair! loved how it was spicy, i do understand what other people mean by the small size of the wings itself but i'm not sure if that's necessarily a thing they can controlflaming fried rice- wouldn't really order again, i'd try something else. it was a bit too heavy and tasted too much like the buldak sauce. i did enjoy the APPLE sauce w the salad however
Honestly such solid Korean fried chicken and may be one of my top choices in Los Angeles. Incredibly savory, crunchy, and sweet a close competitor to bb.q, which has been my favorite Korean Fried Chicken in Los Angeles.Docking a point because it is a bit pricey and the wait time was pretty long. I recall it was almost $13 for kimchi fried rice and $18 for 6 small pieces of chicken.
I was skeptical of honey on chicken wings. But they are so awesome. I can’t go to a typical wing restaurant any more! Note: parking can be challenging in this strip mall. You have a choice: pay for valet (if you’re eating in), tell the valet you just need to run in and pick up a take out order, or circle the neighborhood a couple of times looking for street-side parking.
Extremely disappointing fried chicken. If Kyochon in Korea saw or tried their chicken, the Korean Kyochon original mother company will disown surely disown this place . We got soy garlic and sweet and spicy. The chicken were small, extremely dry, and just not delicious period. I also think charging radish is ridiculous, which is why I didn't get it.
Really love the food, but always have difficulty ordering later in the evening. The hours here on Google are arbitrary. They’ve either closed early, turned off their online system, or you get all the way through ordering, but they’ve turned on a minimum order that’s too much for one person.Great food when you can get it!!!
Amazing KFC. The best in Los Angeles. The honey dipped whole chicken is always a good option. It makes no sense how good it is. The wings are also a good choice. Overall, this place has some solid chicken. It’s not the cheapest but worth it when your craving some quality fried chicken. I highly recommend.
