Unfortunately, our experience at Kyoto was a disaster from start to finish. Upon entering, we were greeted by an unpleasant smell that set the tone for the rest of the evening. We waited an unacceptable hour and a half for our chef to arrive, only to be disappointed further by the subpar service and cooking. The table next to us, who arrived long after us, had their food cooked first, making us feel like we were an afterthought. Our chef appeared to be under the influence, which made us feel unsafe as he struggled to perform even the simplest tasks, like making the onion volcano. The business next door is closed and I believe a person and dog or dogs lives in a business. The man kept going in and out and it smelt like wet dog bad. The cook or someone from Kyotos came out pounding on the door swearing and saying their dog was in the kitchen all day. Ewe! And like two cooks it was slow service. The food portions are huge now because the quality of food has gone down sadly. I won’t be going back. That person living in the office space next door and dog hanging out I the kitchen all day was the clincher
We had sushi as well as the hibachi show and dishes. The food was very well prepared and quite tasty. We had the salmon hibachi and the chicken hibachi. Kids loved the show a lot. The sushi was super yummy too. It was a lot of food for our family of four so we packed the leftovers for later since we knew we would be hungry again after pool time. Amazing and memorable experience.
The food is wonderful, the service and show are the real draw here. It is a good chance to enjoy the presentation, meet new people and just have a really great time for dinner. It is a little pricy, but you do get a lot for the money, it isn't just the meal they are providing!
