Excellent, well cooked and tasteful meal in a beautiful setting was towards the end of the evening overshadowed by a considerable lack of attention to service. Our remaining wine was only served with the cheese, when we asked for it, plates were cleared only after 20 minutes (when we asked for service), we ran out of water. After we settled the bill and we’re leaving the table, mignardises turned up…no coffee or tea was proposed. All in all a rather disappointing experience.
The ambience was lovely. For the price and the Michelin star rating, we were disappointed by the food. The presentation was good, but the flavors fell flat. We had an eight course meal for half the price in Paris earlier in the week and the flavor of the food was so much deeper and more surprising. Perhaps the night we are at La Bastide was an anomaly; it’s clear the chef takes pride in his food, but based on our experience and expectations, there is room for improvement!

World class ! Best meal in ages. This cook really knows what he is doing. Assorted wines were perfect. words fail to describe the excellent quality of this restaurant
Very good products and good cuisine but the dishes need some work and lacked creativity. Beautiful place and very nice young attentive staff..
