We arrived at 9:00 p.m. and we were denied the terrace because of the imminent storm, which never happened. a table of 2 meters for 9 adults. We asked for a little more space which annoyed the server. then he added a small square table at the end of the table, not without remarking that he could no longer circulate in the restaurant. when we asked for fresher red wine we were told that red wines were served at room temperature. to take or leave. one of our guests informed the server that there was no light in the toilet. We had a group of over 10 friends and family looking for a table without a reservation on an evening and La Belle Époque was the only place we could find. Unfortunately it became apparent why... It took an age for the waiters to take...a drinks order and then 20 minutes to serve just the drinks! The service was extremely slow and had us looking round for attention regularly. The food didn't fair much better either. The steaks were extremely tough and the mussels the worst we've had in all our restaurant visits in SJDM. we had booked but there wasn't a lot of people but it was a w.e in early June. I've taken a perigord crêpe. It was good, but I wish there was more salad. since this year the flour to make the pancakes is organic and local. The other guests took seafood cake it was good according to what they said. Great service. the server with care and attention, I imagine it must be different in the middle of the season. We were on the terrace. perfect ice cream and fresh cider!
We always manage to stumble on at least one jewel every holiday and the Belle Epoque was this time. The food was great and while we arrived early in the evening and ate with our children, it soon filled with older couples and diners and... we were not sure how the only family, if we were a little disturbing for other diners. This used to be one of my favourite restaurants, specially for duck. This year on ordering duck breast, there's no mistaking from shape and taste, that we were served something else we suspect liver (which was not on the menu). While I like liver,...I do not like to be taken for a fool and will not therefore be visiting again, what a shame.
We found this creperie close to the hotel but it was a mistake to go there. Although they have a terras that you cannot see, it lacks all atmosphere inside. It is back to the 70ties. And the service is nothing special either, although they were very young. Crepes were average. Easy to do better.
Visited with our family at lunchtime. The restaurant was very busy and this meant we were there for 1.5 hours for main course and desserts. The gallettes and crepes were very nice, but we just wished we could have been served a little quicker.

arrived a little late, we were very well welcomed ... possibility to eat outside. The waitress left us the choice in spite of uncertain times. The pancakes and cakes are very honest and the rates too!
