Overall good experience, but there is room to improve.We went as a group of 9 wishing we said we were 10 by the end of the night. When we arrived there were 4 tables for 2 lined up. One side having 5 chairs. This made for a pretty tight and uncomfortable squeeze. Especially when the forks and knives came out. For the calibre of food they're putting out of the kitchen, I was pretty surprised they'd be the type of restaurant to skip on client comfort in order to create space for another 2 top.The general ambience was nice and gave a great first impression as to what dinner will be like. great atmosphere, great place well decorated, eating was delicious, we ordered burger and drinks. burger was 100% bark, juicy and tasty, drinks are refilled. fries are not really mehhh, but it's okay because we ordered poutine and it was very good. the waiting time to bring the food was a little more than usual, but since we ordered food at 20:30 and the kitchen closes at 20:30 it was completely in order. many parking spaces outside the village. nice young staff, very motivated, not English. I'll be back.
It was our second visit at La belle et La Barbe. Once again we were not disappointed with the menu. I love the food at this place. However, the wine list lacks refinement and our server did not seem to like his job. We were served by him the first time and it was the same story. Gave him the benefit of the doubt as anyone can have a bad day but twice in a row, the owner must act. Hope he reads my review and changes a few things.
First time at La belle et la Barbe. Good bistro ambiance with music in a simplistic but effective urban decor. Food was very good. I opted for their, 3 appetizers of you choice, menu option and must say that the beef tartare Forester-style was very good. Especially with extra spices to balance the bacon shavings. Glad we tried this new location. We will go back.
Great food!They have really good promos too like $1 oysters and unlimited tartare so worth it!I would recommend making reservations ahead of time on promo nights.The manager provides amazing service and makes an effort to accommodate food restrictions adequately.Highly recommended!
we had great time in the belle la barbe last night! we ordered les planches individually and selected by three decisions? everything was delicious (except the escargot in Puff bakery that was blande.) the service was also top notch! we're gonna eat here again?
great service by mini behind the bar, adorable, friendly and knowledgeable. really amazing eating, young chef is just incredible and humble. I'll try again. I recommend this restaurant!
we love this place. great atmosphere, very good food and friendly service! we always get the tasting plates, choix you cook. never disappointed
