We stopped here for a hot chocolate then came back for lunch. The restaurant is just below the Cote chairlift. It is in a sunny spot for eating outside on a good day. There is table service inside and outside to save you staggering about...in ski boots. We ate inside where a log fire was blazing. We shared a tartiflette, salad and tarte myrtilles. All delicious. With a coke and a mineral water the cost was €29. The restaurant inside was a little chilly, despite the fire. But I would still recommend this restaurant.
We skied over to Vallee Blanche with our three boys after ski school on a cold, sleety day. We had intended to eat en route but that restaurant (les Deux freres) stopped serving food at 2pm and they were pretty rude! We were starving by...the time we got to Kanata and were relieved to be greeted by the friendly proprietor and served large portions of food promptly. He even gave us (not the boys a complimentary schnapps after the meal. Wish we had time to have returned for a vin chaud.
We stopped at the Kanata restaurant on the Valle Blanche side of Les 2 Alpes. Gorgeous setting and we lucked out because the sun was shinning every day. Massive helping of delicious food. I loved there Ravioli in mushroom sauce. Also their Vin Chaud is...the best I've tasted. The restaurant can get very busy very quickly and watching the staff cope was like poetry in motion. Fast and efficient and no matter how busy you always got your food promptly.
Visited yesterday and noticed some lack of kindness from the tall and thin waiter that serves outside tables. Today was even worse. After waiting a long time to be served he aproached us saying one moment, very important He went to meet a girl that...just arrived with a dog. After a little chat he brought her coffee and kept flirting with her. At some point we just left and went for lunch somewhere else. I think a new waiter is needed...

I highly recommend the mussels and frites! For €17 you get a massive bowl of mussels a huge bowl of chips and a small beer! I shared with my boyfriend and it's certainly enough for two! We visited here 3 times during our week skiing...and had the mussels twice. We also tried the tartiflette and soup which were also excellent. The waitress was very friendly and offered genepi after the meal!
love this place on the vallee blanche friendly staff simple menu, but rustic and tasty big in winter with the big open fire we love it in summer mountain bike to canata, sunny terrace, moules et frites and a beer not...improve
came here a few times on our New Year's Eve ski tour. good selection of food, also delicious. all these ski restaurants are expensive, but portions are good. easy to drive up
classic mountain restaurant great outsight beautiful sunset friendly service good food for the money we ate there a few times so far this season and always enjoy it
