Amazing service. Excellent, professional and flexible staff. Delicious yummy seafood to top it off. As we stood in front of the restaurant, Kevin came, greeted us and checked where we can be seated. As the table we wanted was reserved, he made sure that we got the next best thing. I'm never sure about where I'd like to be seated, so there was a lot of moving and switching of table, seat and place settings. All were done with smile and enthusiasm. Visited twice in mid and late June - both for lunch - once on Sunday and once on Thursday beware the latter there is a street market outside so car access is tricky. Despite wishing to explore the menu rather more, on both occasions we selected Fruits de Mer again - quite superb. On the first visit we asked about the oysters and were advised they were not on top form - they nevertheless they gave us some free of charge - and to be honest they were not too bad. Here is where you come when you want all your fresh seafood fantasies to come true. First the location is perfect, directly facing the marina and Eze. Outdoor seating features heaters when needed and you can only guess the views.Second, the fish is as fresh as you can get. They bring you the whole John Dory and Sea Bass and you pick what size you want. They prepare to order and it is very yummy. Lastly service is really fun and the wine list won't disappoint.
Nice space, beautiful harborside setting, friendly service, but like a previous reviewer, I fell into the "whole sea bass" trap. Was shown and ordered a beautiful whole bass, a little over 900 grams in weight, strictly fresh and beautifully presented and prepared--and when I got the bill the fish was €105. For one person. Otherwise, all things considered, this restaurant is probably an excellent choice IF you order wisely--which I didn't.
Nice meal, fresh seafood, we just felt that they were trying too hard to be over fancy with their great food. The electronic menu was a little different but it didn't have photos of all the menu items. We tried the sushi starter with a fish main. Nice decor, ideal location probably a little expensive compared to the others on the harbour. Wine list was small bug comprehensive. All in all a nice night out.
Just recently discovered this area in the port of St-Jean Cap Ferrat... strolled along the harbour stretch and scanned the different restaurants offering. La Cabane was our choice. Nice setting chique/rustique.It's all about fish here. The waiter presented today's catch. The food eas nicely presented and tasty.Staff welcoming and professional.
TOTAL RIP OFF. Waited over an hour for our food. We were a party of four - we only had main courses as follows; 1 steak and chips, 1 calamari, sea bass between two. Four glasses of wine, 1 dessert. Bill came to 354 euro ! We are used to paying a lot but this was really shocking. Food was nice enough but we felt like complete mugs.
I do not question the freshness of the seafood but certainly the ability of the chef to cook it right or exceptional. Even dessert, a caramel tart, was served way too cold. Overall very mediocre. The level they aim at does not match what they deliver.Great ambience and service.
The food was really good, the picture I posted was actually kids food that most restaurants have as equal as dog food, but here they did a super good fish and pasta with taste. As for us they prepared the fish for us super good, desert was also amazing. Highly recommended.
