Parking is $2/hr since it is close to downtown and the UH campus.I went for Taco Tuesday. Tacos are $1.69 and are small. They could have fit on a small plate. They try to stuff it with meat, but the size doesn’t change. There is a 5 taco minimum. With tax that means a minimum of $9.15. My problem was that I was not asked if I wanted corn tortillas. I don’t like corn and I was given corn.I also had a margarita. It was in a 6 oz glass and was $10.81. Definitely on the expensive side for the size. The restaurant is situated in a fantastic downtown location. As an out-of-towner visiting for the first time, I was truly impressed. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the interior had a genuine authenticity to it. The menu was clear and offered a wide variety of meal choices. The tacos were absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive when taking our orders. We also stopped by the bar for drinks, where we received excellent service from the bartender named Poncho. I highly recommend this place and will certainly return whenever I’m back in town.
Me and my wife were in town for a few days and spent the majority of it eating tacos. It was late on a Friday night we were exhausted after a work event and took an Uber La Calle as it was recommended to us. The food and the service were fantastic. Weended up going twice in as many days. Tortillas were fresh, all the meat options were seasoned so well. I appreciated all thedrink options as well. Will definitely put this on my rotation whenever I’m in Houston again.
So yesterday while being in Downtown Houston I stopped at one of my favorites La Calle Tacos. I don't get their to often so I make it count. I ordered tres Tacos, uno de Pastor, de Ceviche de Camaron y de Carnitas with a little beans on each. Added Pico de Gallo and a little Chicharon. Damn they forgot the kitchen sink. Ha! Ha! Yeah a side of Beria sauce too. Delicious. I highly recommend them. ?????

Delicious! The staff was super friendly. It was our first time and they told us some of their favorites and showed us everything. My husband got tacos de alambre which I didn't see on the menu but they were delicious. I got mini tacos of asada and pastor. The avocado salsa was on point. The guacamole was delicious with the surprise added cucumber. Enjoy!
Tacos are ok, shrimp ceviche was really good actually. Be careful with the salsas, they can be really hot. The street corn was a great option although a little overpriced. Cantina next door is a great place to have a couple of drinks and tacos. The fact that this establishment closes at 2 am makes it really packed at nightFood: 4/5
Food is great but quite pricey in my opinion. $17 for an average size torta is just too much for me. Nonetheless everyone was friendly and helpful. Plenty of seating available and a cool looking place. Of course parking is tricky since it's downtown unless you pay or are able to find street parking.Food: 5/5
The tacos were really good and the birria was tasty. Service was quick and there were lots of toppings and salsas you could add. It looked like a pretty nice cantina in the adjacent room. The location is convenient near the train and they're open late.

La Calle is a DT HOU fave of mine. The street style tacos and drinks are always on point. I never even remember what I order bc I always scarf it down so fast! Don't miss their micheladas either!Food: 5/5
