Went there last night, I must say the food is excellent. The service on the other hand left alot to be desired. Seated right away and the waiter came to take the order. Took almost minutes to receive the salad I ordered. The placed...wasn't full, so there was no excuse. They also really didn't follow the foot social distancing. Also this being a byob restaurant, they brought the ice bucket for our wine, but the waiter never offered to pour our wine. These are people who know how to serve customers. They also know how to cook quality meat to quality standards. I have eaten prime rib from a world class chef many times at an exclusive club, and this place is of equal quality. Absolutely loved this restaurant. Owner personally comes and checks on you. The staff helped us order incredible food for the kids and adults. We had a reservation. They made us wait at the entrance for minutes. For once, it was a good thing: it allowed us to view the kitchen and no one cooking was wearing a mask! The chef that seemed to lead the kitchen has a...beard with no protection. Yelling and spitting in food, no thanks. We left. Basic covid hygiene rules lacking.
Service was great, friendly and professional! Food was absolutely delicious! Best Caesar salad ever!! Our first visit but certainly not our last! Penne arrabiata was excellent as was veal Marsala. Good choice for Italian food in Montreal. The place had a good atmosphere, service was quick. We had the calamari as an appetizer. The veal scallopini was delicious. The gnocchi and the fettuccine were good. Overall we had a great experience. will return
You've never had steak until you've tasted the delicious aged meats that are available at la campagnola. If that's not enough, the service is courteous and pleasant. Annie was wonderful and answered our questions and made sure we had a good time.
