Hello Guys,First time in this restaurant that we choose from the spot because it looked classy from the outside. We were looking for a dinner before going to a party.At the entrance door, we arrived in a massive room, remembering school canteen.We were placed on a table for two next to the bar. Aperitifs were accompanied by snacking which were appreciated. Food was nice (two risotto one veggie and one with chicken) and dessert was yummy (taste tatin with ice-cream)!Service was competent and we did not experience waiting.Overall I recommend this restaurant as sophisticated enough and I probably will be going back.
We ate here twice during our week in Metz. Once on a quiet Sunday, with excellent service and quality burgers...oh and a delicious (although slightly expensive) cocktail!On the Saturday night the place was buzzing. Great atmosphere and the 3 course set meal was Suberin at approx 25€ per person.Good quality food although the waiter forgot to bring our main course so we waited almost an hour. He was very apologetic and offered drinks on the house to compensate. I'd recommend La Cantine, both inside the lovely high ceilinged restaurant and outside on the large terasse it's a very good place to eat.
We went here for dinner with a group of friends. First let me say that the owner is a very likeable person. The building was very charming. We ordered the veal the steak the sheep and the duck. everything was tasty and the portions were very good. We drank a "cote du rhone" red wine and we liked it. When we left we felt satisfied. You don't feel that you didn't get enough for your money there. Good food very nice staff and beautiful building. It made our night.
Food very good, nice service, prices more than okay! Ratings and comments seem not fair! Very large portions, very good quality oft foie gras, steak, cheese! Nice location, only thing disturbing: why are there 2 TV s?

The food wa just HORRIBLE!!! I couldn't even finish my dish though I hate waisting food. I don't recommend at all!!!
