Excellent 5 course tasting menu. I had the wine pairing, my fiancee ' did not, as 5 glasses of wine is far too much for her petite frame. The meal started with two delicious amuse-bouche; caviar and sea urchin and a lovely ham and cheese cake ....The first course was the most delicious foie gras dish I 've ever had. Words cannot describe. We then moved on to lobster, salmon, a lovely beef dish and finished with what was described as a de-constructed carrot cake that was out of this world delicious. la chronique has been a booklet on the laurier road for decades and was known for its food. our visit was a farewell. even if the restaurant was quite empty when we came in and went, we were sent on the first floor dining place in the Punition. the same happened to another couple, and the reason the waiter had given them was not really convincing. some will decorate, it was drab. then we sat, and we waited and waited for our menus. Finally, the waiter brought us the weeping list, but no menus. I choose my wein after I didn't choose to eat otherwise. about eating, it wasn't moderate. 1995 as 2020. everything was extremely salty, but otherwise dirty. the combinations of meat/fish and their veg...
we have been in this restaurant for many years. we have never been disappointed with any meal. the only restaurants that are open during the Covid-19 crisis are restaurants that offer food. la chronique now offers food. since the lockdown. this is our third time to order meal. our last meal was on May 2, 2020. for the first cure I had the lobster salad that was delicious. the main course was the Japanese wagyu bark. I never had wagyu bark in my life and it was to die for! it was incredibly tender. amazing! dessert was a pineapple mousse! great! my partner had a lobster salad and dessert. in relation to the main course he had the rabbit with sauce chaseur. kaninchen mit jägersoße. he said it...
I'm not a fan of French food but the food here is pretty decent. They know what they are doing service wise too and they have delicious wines that match well if you are into that. The part that makes La Chronique most unique is...its so quiet and calm. So many restos these days are too busy and noisy with loud music etc but you can actually carry on a quiet conversation here while you nibble tasty morsels.
We visited here during Mtl a table, they had a 45 dollar 3 course meal. Nice newer digs compared to their older location. The service was fast and to the point. We tried ordering a non alcohol drink but was told we could have soda,...that's it. The food was good and very well presented, we enjoyed the pork belly and desserts but main dishes didn't give us a wow factor.
Service was excellent and very attentive. The waiters/waitresses were very thorough when detailing the plates and always made sure that every moment of our evening was enjoyable. Very smiley and welcoming the moment we stepped in the restaurant. The food prepared by the Chef Alexandre...Dionisio was wonderful. Will definitely go back to try their regular menu.

We were there for MTLàTABLE, all the 3 courses of dish were looks so nice and taste really good as well, service excellent, every dish was explained well, and ver nice environment. Everything is good!
Had biz lunch meeting there today. Food excellent. Presentation excellent. Service very good. Seating also very comfortable. No complaints on 1st impression. Would reco. to anyone.
