Went for our first meal of the trip and will be surprised if we find anywhere better. We ordered chopitos small fried squid) and padron peppers for starters both big portions and very very good. Then seafood paella for two which was also very tasty. Washed down by 2 beers and half litre of house wine which was also surprisingly tasty only 6 euros). All together the bill was just over €50 and well worth it. Oh and the batman/owner was very funny. We were too busy eating to take any photos, sorry.
Why in Hotel El patio-no diners on that covid-time, we choose La Cofradia del mar just at the exit-10 mn walk from the hotel. There is a indoor room but also a terrasse. We dine 4 nights and all was perfect : limpets, fresh fish, paella, calamar... Good choice of wine, the only lack is on the dessert : only creme caramel... Some other pastries coud be a good idea. Not expensive and the service has been always charming and smiley.
We had been several times before and always had great fresh sea food. Not this time anymore. The cuttlefish was tough and the fish in the shop window did not look as if it were super fresh (sunken eye .. . what a pity! Years ago we ate the best barracuda of life and the fish came directly from the fishermen in the morning. Now half menu is risotto, not exactly a Canarian specialty. No consistency...
rich food, recommended the croquettes that are from the house. cozy place and very attentive staff. The only negative thing is that when you order the drink they put you on bread lid with alioli without asking if you want it or not, and they charge it. If there's something I haven't asked for and I've got no more, you shouldn't be charged. but the rich food, landlord.
Arrived at the restaurant and sat down at a table that wasn’t cleared after 15 mins a waiter came and cleared the table even though several other waiters had seen us. We said we would like to order but after another 10 mins nobody showed so we got up and left. If you go to this restaurant be prepared for a VERY long wait. Disgusting service.
We had a seafood plate (not on the menu ask for it! with some pimientos on the side. The plate was huge, had a great variety of seafood (our favourites were the cuttlefish and mussels , and all the components were done to perfection. Reasonably priced, too. Perfect finish for our Tenerife vacation!
We were staying at hotel el patio so came here for dinner on our last night. We found the food too salty and lacking any other flavour. More expensive than similar restaurants with Canarian cuisine in nearby garachico. Disappointed as it was our last meal on the island after a 2 week trip.
very kind and helpful service, we enjoyed the food very much. Great paella for two (even for two it was a big portion) and excellent octopus both boiled and grilled. our child, who doesn't like seafood, really enjoyed the pork dish. We also liked the local wine very much. friendly prices.
