After waiting and waiting and waiting, and also seeing other tables who arrived afer us being served their meals, we finally recieved our « entrée pupusas » that we were splitting between us. I would not recommend this restaurant for those with celiac disease or gluten sensitivities, as they do not offer a gluten-free menu or have a separate kitchen space. Although the owners were helpful in trying to assist with ordering options, the restaurant is very busy. While there were only a few dishes on the menu that contained gluten, they could not guarantee that cross-contamination would not occur. Despite being on a road trip and in need of a hot meal, I decided to eat there due to limited options in town. I would not recommend eating here for celiac or sensitive non-tents, as they do not have a gluten-free menu or separate kitchen room. The owners were as helpful as it could be to find out what to order, but it is a very busy place. There were only 2 or 3 dishes on the menu that definitely had gluten, but they said from the Get-go that they could not guarantee it would be safe. I was late in the evening on a road trip there and wanted really hot food, and everywhere in the city I found GF was very expensive. I never take such opportunities and felt like I shouldn't have done it, but I wasn't getting sick. The food was delicious, but I wouldn't go back because I was so sensitive to cc.
The place does not look like much from the outside but don’t let that deter you: the food is simple amazing. The menu has a mix of Mexican and Salvadorian foods. We were in the mood for Mexican so we ordered and enjoyed every bite...of our quesadilla, burrito and tacos. There is only one dessert but that’s enough! The tortillas filled with dulce del leche was delicious. Definitely worth a visit and the food was very reasonably priced as well!
Family owned and operated this is a real jewel to come! Something you would expect in the great city hidden in the heart of the Laurentian! This is a way to for the 6 -7 years it was ooen! Typical Mexicain restaurants...fare with great Salvadoran options as well! Stop by and say hello to Claudio and Gloria and have one of his signature margaritas!
I usually read good reviews, but one or two not so good. I didn't find anything I could complain about. It was better than good. I enjoyed a margarita and a Chile Rellano. together with chips and guacamole. There is even a small shop downstairs to buy different fixes to make your own meal at home. I want to eat here again.
He went out during the COVID times. Enjoy the Cerviche and Chili relano. Children liked pupusa as it was mild, by hubby thought it lacked taste like its enchilada. The fried beans, where surprisingly good! I don't usually enjoy beans, but there was something good about her!
First time here with colleagues and we are all amazed by the quality and the taste of the food. A great Mexican restaurant. We had the flautas, chicken beef and chorizo and nothing negative to say. Definitely worth a visit to this authentic Mexican restaurant.
