My husband and I have been to La Cremaillere many times. Recently, however, we noticed a distinct difference between what we find when we go on a regular night and what we find when we go on a "special" night like New Years Eve or Valentine's Day. In short: it's just not as good on those days. This place is *amazing* on a regular evening. On special occasions, it's still better than many places, but it's not as good as it is on a regular night, which is a shame
As always, a very special meal in a very special setting! We were warmly welcomed, promptly seated, and well attended to. The menu was intriguing, the wine list comprehensive, the service professional, and the food quite delicious and well presented. La Cremaillere is a richly appointed oasis of comfort and elegance in the countryside near major urban areas. The visit was another superior experience in a long life, and well worth a major detour to experience
Basically had a private chef. Besides us there were only other couples the entire evening. I know Tuesday can be a slow night, but wow! Food was terrific and obviously there were plenty of people to wait on us, I just felt badly for them
