It was a perfect day in Northeastern Pennsylvania and my mind turned to outdoor dining. I immediately thought of La Cucina in Dunmore their back patio. The patio setting is very nice, surrounded by a high fence providing a very private setting from nearby Blakely Street. We were seated right away. Drinks along with waters with fresh lemon arrived quickly. We started with fresh garden spinach salads. I had ordered the shrimp scampi over linguine and my wife ordered their special chicken and pasta dinner. I added a fine Chianti to accompany my dinner. Both arrived in a very short amount of time. The food and service was absolutely delicious! We decided to order dessert first because they had an Andes mint cheesecake. Typically when I eat dinner I don't ever get dessert because I have food left to take home. I definitely wanted to try the dessert and it was absolutely delicious. The woman who served us kinda chuckled and probably thought we were crazy at first but then laughed about it later. The food was a very good size portion, flavorful, and absolutely yummy. They served bread with some cheese to the table which we also enjoyed. This was our first time visiting here and if this is the typical day to day operations I would highly recommend.
I was craving Italian cuisine and decided to try this restaurant. Upon arrival, I parked in the private lot and walked into the bakery section, where a friendly gentleman directed me. I chose a seat at the bar, and a lovely lady handed me the menu. The ambiance was really pleasant. Alan was behind the bar, and I began with a lemon drop martini, which turned out to be quite sweet, so I switched to a pinot noir afterward. For my meal, I ordered the special stuffed salmon. When it arrived, it looked delicious, and it tasted just as good. Plus, the bill was very reasonable! Overall, I had a great experience.
This is a lovely restaurant located in the heart of Dunmore, featuring an exceptionally skilled staff. If you find yourself in the Scranton area or in Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA) within Lackawanna County, it’s definitely worth a visit. The dining area consists of the main space and two private rooms, where our party was seated. Given that I live in New Jersey, I found the prices to be quite reasonable. The establishment is immaculate, though parking can be a bit difficult to navigate.

I ordered sole filet but it was tilapia. It came with rice which was baby food and the salad came with a whole bottle of dressing on it. My husband had New York Strip Steak and that poor cow died 2xs over. Here 's my shoe it taste better. And the most important thing was my sons...the bday boys Ugh....said we prefer your cooking mom. How do eff up frozen and jar pasta. $250 not worth IT. service was good.
worse lunch I ever had. Ordered a Turkey club sandwich. What I got was a sandwich on two barely toasted piece of rye bread with a slice of what looked like week old turkey lunch meat, one piece of undercooked bacon and two slices of of limp tomato. I could have had a better lunch at McDonalds.
La Cucina is amazing! It has a wonderful bar area and delicious food. The bread, chicken parmesan, and espresso martini were exceptional. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the interior of the restaurant is lovely. It’s definitely one of the best spots in Northeast PA!
Very nicely decorated and impressive when you enter. The take out case looked appealing. For us one of our pasta meals was very bland. Service was slow. The shrimp appetizer was very good and bread was good as well. I would try again and sit on the patio if possible.

Came for lunch. The dining room is not too large. They have a nice bar area. And there is a deli attached in the adjacent building. The lunch menu was nice. Good prices for the portions. Servers were nice. Homemade chips are soo delicious!!
