we visited twice in our 2 weeks in collioure, which is a comment. certainly the most interesting kitchen we came over, but with all respect, that is not much of a compliment, as most 'restaurants' are to please from bog standard pap. the mass. a few sardels throwing on a platelet salat for €17, most tourist seems to like. this place is different. it produces a changed menu every day, although some dishes remain as stables. prices are slightly higher than most other restaurants, but all dishes are prepared by scratches, with an inventive twist. most restaurants in tourist destinations need to demand more as their rental is inflated by their rentals. at both visits we were greeted and honored....
we two saw the slow food logo in this restaurant during the day and decided to dinner this evening (without reservations.) our 8 o'clock arrival sans reservation was happy, as the outdoor dining area filled out within 15 minutes from our seat. service: 5.0.... the waitress was a hearty and thoughtful extrovert. her recommendation was on site. her description of why eating so freshly tasted (never frozen before, fishing on this day) was credible. the man who took our payment was amiable; we went happy. ambiance: 4.0 outside the escaping area has dense seating, but was very pleasant at one of these warm september nights. foods: 5.0 fresh, fresh, fresh. we had 5 tapas and dessert, sat too foot....
It is interesting to read the TripAdvisor reviews after having had lunch at this cute little restaurant. We chose a selection of tapas to share, everything was delicious but somewhat overpriced I think. We were welcomed warmly but the service was really slow...the ambience is...lovely....as mentioned....mixed feelings.
We were excited to discover new food local tapas but it ended up nothing was new just a normal bio French food. The worst part is the price, 5 small tapas are around 50 eu. We paid of the ´bio' lable but not the...real quality of the food. Unfortunately !
