La Cuisine de Morgane

I had heard so many people talk of this little restaurant as being really very good, a local cantine , all freshly cooked, fresh products (which they were) etc etc. that when I say the reduced menu I knew al was fresh, so maybe it was because we were almost the last people to dine that night, but everything I was served was dried out. It was obvious it had been cooked in advance and left to keep warm. My friend and I ordered the freshly grilled fish but only 1 remained. Fish is delicate, and should be cooked to order, this wasn 't the case. The vegetables served on the side were also reheated. We were the only non-French people in the restaurant and the hosts English is as bad as my French but the welcome and the service went way beyond our language issues. It was raining and we sat at a lovely table inside, music and ambience were excellent and people just kept coming so book. We shared a Camembert to start which was plenty then I had an Italian burger and my wife had veal both were fresh, cooked for us and plenty. We had a good bottle of wine at a sensible price and would have loved a dessert but were too full. If you are in this area, book, and go in the evening.

The menu is nt huge so you know its going to be freshly prepared and not predone and left in fridge to serve.. We had a very enjoyable evening at this place, the owner server super friendly and ambiance was very relaxed with gentle music in background. Portions are big so make sure you are hungry we had an excellant meal, could not fault it, tasty and beautifully presented, struggled to find room for desert (but managed thankfully) will recommend this restaurant and shall be returning many thanks

Our 2nd visit to this littke gem of a restaurant. We took family members with us and they loved it as much as we do. I had the burger this visit after having food envy last time I went here, it was delicious moist homemade burger with proper chips... will be going again for sure. Be hungry when you go is a top tip .
