We stumbled on La Divette en route to ferry to Ireland. What a lucky choice. The place was packed to the gills with diners. It had great service, wide variety of lovely pate de champagne, rillettes, salads, cold meats on the buffet counter. Friendly efficient service. Waitress Had phrase book for our mauvais Francois. Main course choice of fish or veal casserole. We had the veal which was scrummy yum yum. Tender, lean, good sized portion, juicy rich mushroom gravy. Then .. hot apple tart and coffee. Further washed down with cold Normandy cider. We will return on next visit. 10 out of 10,
It's not a 3-star, but a fabulous and working-class restaurant. It's because my recommendations are homemade fish and fries. Tartes house for dessert. Beautiful house
