Near the Parador de Pontevedra there is a small square where this pleasant tapas bar is located to enjoy as dinner if you do not want to go to a restaurant The good thing about this tapas bar is that it specializes in Galician style tapas, scallops, scallops, octopus, Galician lacon all with an delicious flavor It is not a very big place, so if you do not leave soon it is advisable to book, although I am not sure if they accept reservations It also has a wide selection of Galician wines, we tried an Albariño The terrace allows you to enjoy watching the sunset in the lower part of the old city
We failed everything we had prepared for pontevedra and fell into this tape store that solved us and very good lunch. very correct staff, but overwhelmed. salad mixes the very tasty peppers of tomatoes of ferns, ration of small fish and sardinitas of the ria very fresh, zamburiñas also very fresh squirrels of the great ria. dessert, coffees and chupitos that invited us. a bottle of san clodio. Euro people. spectacular price. but we had to wait more minutes for the account, and we had to ask for it several times. It was all full and overwhelmed.
We visited this restaurant in downtown Pontevedra in late July 2018. My family and I enjoyed the experience in this very good seafood establishment. Everything we had (vieiras, calamares, langostinos, croquetas, Albarino wine homemade dessert) was very good. In addition, the service and attention to our needs was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Pontavedra wishing to enjoy good and well cooked seafood.
La Estefata is a jewel which we chanced on by accident almost. On passing we saw plentiful plates of mussels and octopus so we decided to sit. We ordered drinks and both of the above. The mussels were large, freshly cooked and served generously. The Pulpo which followed, when we were ready, was equally superb. I ignored all my no bread rules and soaked up the wonderful oil/sauce.

Had several meals here during our time in Pontevedra. We kept coming back due the excellent quality of food, atmosphere, service and price. This is a wonderful restaurant situated on a small square in old town very close to our AirBNB apartment. The fried calamari is probably the best I have had in Pontevedra. The waiters were extremely friendly and helpful as well.
everything is fresh and well prepared. I had the best soft and juicy octopus till now (still 1.5 week to go) so please take the advice in the context... St Jacobs are perfectly grilled and wine is fine with the food. Forgot my sunglasses but got it back the next day they remembered me! Very happy.
Stopped here for a simple lunch . My wife had a main size Caeser Salad . I had grilled squid chiperones a la plancha) . The best I have ever had . All up including two beers and two coffees 22 euro. Great quality and great value
Incredibly delicious. Do yourself the favor and treat yourself to a very delicious dish while in Pontevedra. Services were great as well. BTW I had the Squid with onions. And of course white wine :

This is mostly tourist restaurant, but everything was very tasty. And the most important that it worked after siesta. We ordered sea-food and we were excited. Very friendly staff and owner!
