We ate here on a Friday evening.We were asked if we wanted a drink before our meal.I asked for a pastis-now,I'll be the first to admit my tourist french language skills aren't terrific,but I've been coming to France for over 20 years now and never...had any problem ordering the popular aniseed-flavoured aperitif.Anyway,the waitress returned with a very flat beer.I suspect the beer had been left over from another order earlier,and this waitress thought Aha,I can palm zis biere off onto zese stupide Anglais,they will not say anything .When we pointed out this was not what we ordered,she grabbed the beer and stomped off,returning with the pastis which was put down on the table in a very marked...
We didn't book in advance but were lucky enough to get a table just inside. This is a busy restaurant and it has a standard menu and a selection of set menus, so it caters for every budget. As a large party we ordered various...food and couldn't fault any of it. The starters were lovely, and we tried escargots, which were really tasty. They did wine by the glass to accompany different choices, which was great with the starters too. The mains meals were lovely and those that had the prawns said they were incredible. All meat is cooked exactly as you want it. I would go back here again, the whole meal and the atmosphere in the restaurant were just perfect for a lovely night out.
Good food and fair prices. I think I they were caught off guard as we were third table to sit down (4 of us) but within half an hour it was full. One waitress to do everything. Some tables had three courses in the 90...min we had one, still waiting to order pudding. I presume just pot luck and not because they were French and we were English. The lady serving was very pleasant and seemed to work miracles attending to everyone. However service was slow as a result. Waitress then did the bill at the bar as well. Would be 5 stars if more waiters. Veal steak was good and creme brulee was good.
a cold Saturday morning market in figeac, four starving people found this small restaurant on a side street away. after a warm welcome followed an excellent jour du Marché menu. three courses each better than the previous ones. we were the first customers. but when we finished the restaurant it was full. we come back when we are in figeac!

by chance we came to the side entrance, which led to the shaded inside of the flambée, which is a happy discovery. we enjoyed a really delicious meal fresh ingredients, beautifully presented. attentatiw, friendly service that allowed us time to really enjoy every cure. we're going to fall.
We only had the menu de jour and salads were great. One of us had trout which was quite good. The other had the faux fillet which was very tough. Cheese and dessert were good. Best to make a reservation if you want to eat...on the terrace.
it was a Monday in juni, many restaurants were closed; we stumbled on this. it is not much to see, but eating is fresh and very well prepared, and the service is charming. a real sound!
excellent lunch there service was exceptional must try if you are in Figeac. Have tried thmost of their local specialities. The wine list is also great
