OK, difficult to find.... you really need to print the direction from their internet site... otherwise your GPS will be useless but the trip by car is worth! In the middle of nowhere, a really good restaurant.... an old horse rest? The restaurant was almost full last Satursday.... and mainly local people... a good sign. Friendly welcome, nice atmosphere and decoration, good food: toke duck as starter and main course. The menu is small but the quality is there. Mise en bouche offered.... really good quality price. I recommend! The Brioche perdue is really good. Duck on the starter has hard parts though but over all the best quality/price I have found in the area!
We ate here recently with some friends during a French trip. The food was perfectly cooked and presented and good value, but the service left to be desired. Maybe a lack of communication between the different servers on this particular evening? We took the €39 menu which offered good choice and a cheese course as well as a dessert. Seeing as it was a hot evening we ate outside on the terrace, but the dining room looked very attractive.
It was my first french cuisine experience, and it blew my mind! I ate here the first time in February 2015 and they had me from the mise en bouche... It's my favorite restaurant in the area, and each time our friends visit this is our first option for dinner. Besides the fact the food is delicious they have such a nice and cozy place, and the terrace view is stunning! Seriously don't miss this place if you visit the Loire Valley : .
We had a fantastic evening meal here. The restaurant was beautifully presented, the staff were very friendly and the service was efficient. We ate from the 29€ menu, which was excellent. They also offer a 39€ menu, which we'd have been happy to go back and try but we only discovered the restaurant on the last day of our holiday. The children's menu was excellent too. Couldn't fault it highly recommended.
Our favourite restaurant of the 10 day trip. Fabulous food in a great setting, we dined on the terrace with a lovely view of the Forrest. The staff were very helpful and friendly indeed one of them lent my grandson who is two their wrap as he was feeling a chilly later in the evening. The lobster risotto was amazing. Well worth the effort to find and good value for the quality of food
Food is exceptional, price low given the outstanding level of quality (1 to 2 stars for me regarding cuisine), quantity good, service young, relaxed and friendly with experienced staff in the background and the place is beautiful and quite. What is it more to wish? A room there after a great dinner, to spend the night? Yours for 60 euros... Excellent.

We had a very good dinner here. The set menu was 29 euros and good value. Madam recommended an excellent local Sancerre for 27 euros. We sat outside on the terrace and it was a delightful evening.
We were with three and had a great experience here for lunch. Great looking dishes with surprising tastes, excellent and very friendly staff in a warm and cosy atmosphere. A real trouvaille
