We moored up at Paraza quite late on a Monday evening, hoping to eat at Cafe du Port, and we were starving. We'd forgotten - it was the dreaded Monday. Everything in Paraza was shut. A helpful local lady told us to try Roubia, it was only a couple of kilometres. We were so hungry we'd go anywhere. We walked and the couple of kilometres turned into nearly four. There was a restaurant open in Roubia as we walked into town, but it was a private function - the restaurant was closed. Our hearts sank but a man at the bar told us to try up the road a bit. The welcome is very warm and the outdoor area a pleasant place to sit. The à la carte menu seemed a bit confused as it wasn't clear which were starters and which mains. And 9.90 for half a melon and serrano ham a bit steep (melons being plentiful). Other prices were more reasonable at about 15-17 euros for a main.The seafood "planche" made a tasty light meal - prawns, seiche and anchovies with salad. The seiche and prawns au persillade was similar but with some rice. Enjoyable summer food.There is a set menu - 3 courses 17.50 - but can't comment on that.
Très bon Restaurant ! Une accueille parfaite ! Très conviviale , bonne ambiance , servis dans la bonne ambiance Avec d'humour de La par de la serveuse ! Bonne présentation des plats , très bien servis en quantité ! Vraiment délicieux ! Pour ma par j'ai manger une salade gourmande Qui était vraiment très bonne Avec une cote de bœuf 500 grammes sauce roquefort exceptionnelle ! Je recommande très très fortement ce Restaurant.
Etwas versteckt in der Ortsmitte, dafür aber umso mehr überrascht über die Qualität. Einfache und übersichtliche Speisekarte mit Menüs und Spezialitäten der Gegend. Sehr zuvorkommende Bedienung. We were a party of 6 straight from the airport. We had booked a table for 9pm and didn't manage to get there until 10 pm on a Sunday night. They were charming and we had a a delicious 3 course menu with choice of main course & pudding all for 15 euro each. the food arrived quickly and was delicious. Could not recommend this place more highly.
Unpretentious and delicious food, with a typical French bar but, when the weather is fine it is so lovely to sit out in the quiet share and watch the world go by.Service is excellent and more than helpful, portions are good.This will be a stop for us every time we are in the area.
Nous avons trouvé cette jolie terrasse en plein milieu du village proche du canal du midi.Endroit reposant, accueil parfait et surtout une bonne salade gourmande copieuse !!!De bons produits locaux;Je recommande.
How can this place get 4.5 out of 5. There's no resto only in the bar or on terrace of weather permits. Food is terrible but staff pleasant. Can't recommend if I try. Would I go back - sorry but no. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Totally unexpected, brilliant meal in the unassuming town of Roubia. Excellent service, great experience. A must-do in the south of France.
