We had a fantastic gastronomic experience in La Gatera. Started with 3 olive oils tasting with delicious home made bread, croquettes de jamon langostinos (to die for), cheese tasting, as a main Albondigas well cured beef (very tasty) and Principe Alberto Natilla de leche as deserts. The natilla was so nice that we ordered a 2nd . All accompanied by nice local La Palma wines dessert wine. Very friendly, knowledgeable waitress who spoke excellent english. We spent a whole Sunday Afternoon for lunch. Highly recommended! Make a reservation in advance (as we did), all tables were reserved occupied
The only thing I didn't like is that they had just started the service and things were missing, the croquettes for example did not have the quail egg they are. They offered us a wine that they did not have. Then we had to ask for bread, they didn't offer it and we had to remember to bring it, so they offered us oil, after the starters. The food is delicious, the best is the croquettes, although we couldn't eat them as they are because, as I already said, they were missing things. The peto salad is great.

The place is well decorated, although small and there is no ceiling ventilation or air conditioning, it gets very hot inside. The food has been very good, well presented. The guys who serve are good, only the guy should raise a little more the tone of voice to be able to hear it. Service: Dine in
A must-see place if you go to La Palma. Very exquisite food with a menu that changes offering you a variety of homemade dishes. The only negative is that if you like to eat a lot you will stay hungry, but you will have tasted quality. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
