I've come here a few times now and it's safe to say La Gourmandine is definitely one of my favorite places to eat out! The service is not only efficient but done with a smile. The food it's self is delicious. Not only that but the portions are generous (I highly recommend fondu or raclette) so you're always getting good value for money. They do lots of traditional French food but also some delicious burgers and salads if that's more to your taste. I honestly could not recommend this place enough.
this place was recommended by our chalet republic, we were a fairly large booking of adult, first disappointment was the restaurant was extremely cold the whole night, they wanted us to sit adult on a personal table and was not happy when we... stopped moving a place to the end. the raclette looked good, but some of us had burgers that were not very good. service was ok, but it is not a place I would recommend personally
We were referred to La Gourmandine by our ski guide Olivier. This was what he called his “HQ”. If locals like it well it should be good. And it was. The service was top notch and friendly. A good choice of wine. Good basic fare...for a reasonable price. The washrooms were sparkling clean. The fraught beer was served cold.
I have had a few meals with friends at this restaurant and so far it has delivered the best raclette and fondue I've tasted. The wine selection is also great and I wouldn't recommend leaving without a dessert! Small but friendly restaurant makes for a nice relaxed atmosphere.

For years we used to come to drink the aperitif to the greedy that was closing around 8:00. After 2 years of absence we find an open restaurant in the evening and frankly it is a pleasure. Typical meal, value for money without comparison to val, a real pleasure!
We decided to go dinner with friends in this restaurant. I recommend the burger to the patate, as well as the white wine, trusted in the bartender! pleasant service in a very good atmosphere, the dishes are rich and of quality.
dinner and what a jewel. determined on the fondue for and it was excellent. nice eating, great bistro atmosphere, friendly staff and cheap prices for val d’isere. definitiw recommend and try the fodue with meets yum yum!

Had good foie gras and a kids menu! My son’s pasta even came with chocolate cake. Service was very friendly. We sat outside and enjoyed the view.
