On a fiesta night there was nowhere in town to eat apart from sandwich and tapas bars,and we had had a long drive, we came across this empty restaurant I think we woke up the owner! With the language problem, he spoke no English we had their menu for 2 It was surprisingly good washed down with a bottle of red wine which was really cheap for what It was As we started our meal the lady waitress/owners wife served us and she was really friendly and welcoming.
La Gran Muralla is a tired old Chinese place, with plastic seat-covers, tatty decor, and hair-raising bathrooms. The food is bland and greasy, just what you'd expect in a town that really doesn't like any food that's not Like Mom's. There's not a lot of choice in Palencia where Chinese or Asian food is concerned, esp. since the Restaurante Asiatica closed down. This is what we are left with. Don't come with any expectations, and you won't be disappointed.
What a surprise! The waitress (owner I guess), was the most friendly chinese we've ever meet. Really nice and helpful. The food was superb and tasty. One of the best beef with oyster sauce, beef was tender. It was a sunday and the restaurant was empty but they got lots and lots of calls for take away. Nice place to go!

Somos vegetarianos y hemos cenado muy bien. Nos sirvieron enseguida. El local es antiguo pero cuidado. El servicio muy bien.
Era un restaurante Chino de referencia en Palencia, pero ya no es lo que era, ha bajado mucho su calidad.
Un sitio que nos encanta,el trato de la camarera inmejorable y los platillos fabulosos como siempre.
