"la grande monarque" does not suggest that this restaurant hides a Moroccan restaurant, who will still find the way into the la grande monarque will be thrilled.Providing the interieure remembers 1000 and 1e at night and kidnaps the gast in the orient and has already taken me to my last Morko holiday. the la grande monarque offers a full of Moroccan oriented to cheap trips. friendly and quick service and tasteful eating has the restaurant at my visit excellent.Who is not yet saturated after the main course. the desserts are recommended. even if a sugar shock threatens, the Moroccan patisserie is just great.
Friday 14 July 2017 in a stretch, we had booked 5 places at the restaurant "the island" in the leisure base with terrace overlooking the lake to dine and then watch the fireworks on the water.Arrived on site, we preferred to leave (see the reasons in the opinion about this restaurant). We decided to dine in the city (not very far by foot) and threw our devotee on the restaurant "the great monarch" (Moroccan specialities) that we already knew and that never disappointed us. Tajines are excellent and very affordable. Moreover, the staff is extremely kind. An address to be recommended.
We came to eat here after several wonderful opinions about them and personally the couscous great monarch and to fall on the ground! We had to eat for at least 3 people! The meat was just exquisite! The marvellous semolina! we will come back with friends and families of the Vosges region
The meals are good there is nothing to say the top, but some that we come to eat in groups the servers are quickly lost...wrapped and execrable....so not professional...I do not recommend for a family meal but more for a small committee meal.

lunch with a colleague. I regretted not having spicy little carrots with the aperitif, only potatoes not quite tasteful and some olives. correct couscous but without more, the prices are high enough for a lunch.
we went with family to 5 people very well, hearty couscous and delicious meat recommended if you are good eaturla deco is Moroccan style we love or we don't like. The server is very kind
30 minutes for a glass of water. the rest to the coming ... very few vegetables, meats in profusion but that's not what we wanted to avoid or run away
I have stayed many times at The Grand Monarque when travelling to Chartres with work and often I end up just eating at their brasserie.

We took 4 royal couscous for a dinner with friends and found it very good and very copied! we'll do it again on occasion...
Le Grand Monarque was a lovely hotel (with a Michelin starred restaurant), abutting the upper part of the old town.
