The welcoming red lights on the outside of the restaurant was unchanged but on the inside it was obvious that this was a completely different eatery to the one I visited a year ago. The new bistro styled restaurant was clean airy with generous spacing...between tables. The menu was simple and less dependant on seafood than before but there was still a great choice. You could not fault the quality, quantity or the service all at a reasonable price. Infact I enjoyed it so much I will go again tomorrow and tick off a few more dishes on the menu.
We arrived for a return visit to L'Himbert on the 26th February for my birthday and were bitterly disappointed to find that it had in fact CLOSED DOWN just the week before!! We did manage to find another restaurant nearby which had just opened on...the 23rd which was OK but it was not in the same class as L'Himbert. We learned from them that L'Himbert had closed, they thought, due to possibly large overheads. Who knows. I just hope that someone can take it on again as it was really special, had great ambience and served great food.
We believe that this restaurant has moved from the village of Plurien, leaving this place without food. We made a reservation, but it doesn't have to have done because only a different table was in use. The waiter had a good command of English and was... helpful. We enjoyed Casselot and Merlu. Service was good and delicious. The premises have recently been renovated.
this year we have made an extra way back with overnight to return here again. as last year. mega friendly. beautiful ambiente. and a menu covers the wonderful local specialities at a small price. a menu with an appetizer (froschleg) main dish (entrecote) plus a mega dessert for just 25€. who loves the typical French cuisine, he'll be happy and happy to go out. passing through the region, we entered this restaurant which was very engaging. We were not disappointed, the kindness of the lady at the reception, the map, the service, the kindness of the waiter and the cook, the meal. Anyway we spent my husband and I a great evening and we recommend this very warm restaurant.
On a Monday night when many of the town and village restaurants are closed the red lights of La Himber an out of town restaurant are a welcome site. We received a warm welcome on our arrival and we were soon sitting down to excellent...meals, and the café gourmand was very special.
having known this child restaurant with my grandparents 25 years ago, we returned to the himbert family, now a warm and friendly bistro. The food is very good, the welcome with the smile and availability, we spent an excellent time together! Thank you to the team :)

We were 11 at the table, the service quickly and super pleasant! the menu from noon to 12.50 is really top, dessert dish entrance !with a coffee and we are good !I highly recommend it
