So this place is highly recommended for seafood lovers and the oysters are apparently very good. However, on the hottest day of the year I reserved a table outside on the terrace overlooking the sea. I particularly requested this. Upon arrival, even though there were tables available outside or next to the open windows they would not allow us to sit on them and showed a complete lack of flexibility. We were not able to change our table which was in the hottest part of the restaurant next to the kitchen with no view. Arrived for lunch on a Sunday afternoon after reading the reviews on trip advisor. We are 3 adults and had the shellfish platter to start with moules and Roquefort as well as the K-Bane moules for mains. We shared all 3 dishes and all loved every mouthful. The small sea shelled fish were so fresh it was amazing, the oysters mouthwatering but honestly the moules trumped it all. If I had to pick a favourite it would be with the Roquefort, you will however never go wrong with the high standards of cooking and service k-bane provide. Staff couldn't have been friendlier and the whole place had a lovely vibe. We're very spoiled in that we have fantastic seafood where we live and cook a lot of fresh seafood ourselves so if our review is a little critical please bear with us. My husband had the fish soup and it was not the greatest. We both tried it and agreed it was pretty tasteless though the cheese and aoili helped a little. I had the crevette rose and I think they may have been the imported gambas from the far east. For main course we had Moules Roquefort and Spaghetti a la vongole. First time in this terrific restaurant. The view is breathtaking, the staff extremely friendly, very attentive to little details that make you feel at ease and have a grand time. The specialities are mussels baked under a pine needle fire, cheese wrapped in seagrass. Oysters from the oven with a delicate sauce on top are delicious. A must!!

Very tasty sea food restaurant! You won’t be disappointed. This is “the” restaurant to test at Chateau d’oleron. A lot of white wines (in glass). In addition, very modern entrance for a drink of after drink at the entrance with beautiful view on the bridge
The food was good but the service was extremely slow. We had to wait ages for every little thing: first the menus, then the bread, etc, and we ended up leaving before even getting the dessert menu (it was just so slow). I would not recommend for families.

Simply sublime seafood restaurant. A wonderful and inviting menu. Felt totally relaxed and not over burdened. The staff are so polite and helpful. Highly recommended.
