We stumbled across this little gem by accident. We had an amazing lunch I had the baked Camembert and my partner had duck. It was so good we vowed to go back. The owners were so warm and lovely, even adjusting to my lack of French. We went back 2 days later for dinner, the owner saw us and let us know “our table” was available and to head over to it. I love her warmth ! For dinner we ordered the beef for two melt in your mouth amazing. They also nail French chips if you’re inclined. We finished the meal with the cafe gourmand, a selection of their desserts. On both occasions it was divine. The warmth of the owners, the skill of their menu of food and the homely atmosphere of this restaurant...
As wandering vacationers often do, we stopped here by accident at lunch time. Across the street from Les Halles indoor market (can you say fresh food , we had some wonderful food served by staff that could not be more friendly. There was a great selection of foods and preparations you just don 't see in other restaurants (next time we 're doing the cheese plate , all done with beautiful presentations. English menu board available.
Unlike other reviewers here, I had spotted the place by searching the web. I can only confirm the reviews that led me to walk thru their door: very good food, varied menu accommodating most tastes, with specials every day. We really enjoyed our diner. Food and wine. The atmosphere is relaxed , the owners welcoming. A little 'minus ' due to the fact that a few items on the menu are no longer available.
Went for dinner here with a group of colleagues after a conference in the centre of Avignon. The décor and service were particularly good. We were served really amazing food and wine. Great welcome and very friendly staff. The night we went half the menu was off , but the food we had was delicious, and the chips among the best I have had. As a chance find we were very happy with the meal and would recommend it.
Just stumbled on this as the restaurants we had targeted were closed. Food and service were really good, and to be honest although only a side dish, the French Fries were probably the best I've ever had! All in all a safe bet.
My husband and I dined here with another couple on a Friday night. We had great food and great wine. I had the veal milanese with pasta which was really nice. We had good wine. Waiter was great. Highly recommend.
