My family and I adore La Matcha Cafe! It's a charming little spot located on the lower level of a medical building. We've never had any trouble finding parking. Some of our favorite items include their baked goods—especially the macarons, which are by far the best I've ever had; they’re big, have a perfect chewy texture, and come in delightful flavors. The banana bread is another must-try—it's moist and packed with flavor, and I recommend enjoying it warmed up. We've also sampled a few sandwiches and found them to be delicious. My husband is a big fan of their strawberry matcha latte. I've even ordered desserts for parties, and they've always been a hit.
In response to their feedback: the owners try to justify their poor service by claiming we would need to wait 20 minutes, which then stretched to 30. I noticed that others who arrived after us received their orders before we did. They seem to be attempting to cover up their inadequate service. Additionally, the treatment of customers appears to vary based on skin color, which contributes to a very unwelcoming atmosphere for new patrons. After waiting over 30 minutes, the food was just okay. If you're in search of a good local breakfast or brunch spot, I suggest avoiding this café.

I ordered a hot matcha latte with oat milk and it was delicious! You can really taste the high quality of the matcha. I also tried some matcha strawberry macarons, and they were very tasty! The customer service was excellent; the woman who assisted me was friendly and efficient. I can't wait to try more treats here. Thank you!
The sandwiches at this restaurant are incredible! Overall, it’s a fantastic spot. My favorite is the Spicy BBQ sandwich, and I also love their Strawberry Matcha Latte! If you find yourself in Burlingame and are in the mood for a delicious sandwich or a boba drink, this is the place to be!
