I get the impression that this restaurant does not prioritize its customers. They seem to overlook the fact that without us, they wouldn't have a business or jobs. I just can't support a place that lets its unprofessional and rude staff mistreat patrons. After seeing similar reviews, it's evident that this behavior is common. Although it's a convenient location in the neighborhood, I would prefer to spend my money where it’s valued. Besides, their offerings are quite limited anyway.
My visit to La Michoacana Meat Market was a bit unusual. I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was being watched while picking out items from the menu. I kept reminding myself, “I’m a minority too!” and managed to stay calm, grab what I needed, and leave. I’m grateful I’m used to situations like this and proud of my Black identity. Also, I made a special request for how I like my wings, but I got the sense that wasn’t well-received either.
I had lunch with my husband, and unfortunately, the meal was quite disappointing. The beans were bland and watery, missing the authentic Mexican flavor I was expecting. It also seemed that most of the staff were Salvadoran or from other backgrounds, rather than Mexican, which made the experience feel less connected to the Michoacana name. I wouldn't recommend it.
La Michoacana Meat Market is fairly expensive. Be sure to double-check your bill when paying, as I was mistakenly charged for two extra cans of tuna. Additionally, the manager was quite rude. Keep this in mind when exploring their menu. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
My dining experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I ordered a beef broth and was given a very small portion. I do not recommend this place and will not be returning to eat there again.
The overall experience is still fantastic and you can still enjoy a 20% discount. I highly recommend visiting Michuacana and trying out their dishes.
