Do book ahead, as it gets very busy; for good reason! We called in on the way up from the SW, to visit friends in Normandy before going back to the UK, and it was perfect for Lunch. We were warmly greeted, and shown straight to our table. Thank god we booked, all others were taken! I had the chicken terrine, and then a burger, €15.50; great value for money. The terrine was course, served with a sweet onion chutney, and a small salad. Beautiful. For main I had the burger, topped with Emmental cheese and peppercorn sauce. Cooked rare, it was juicy and full of flavour; a touch on the small side, but sufficient for most appetites. I was disappointed when I'd finished it because it was so delicio...
Intakes ok, medium dishes (dry meat, pasta too cooked, sauce that seems industrial), prices too high for quality in the plate. waitress pleasant but not reactive and takes care of the usual customers first, which will not make us switch in this category. Boss who drinks his shot with his friends by giving orders to his waitress from the bar, not very engaging. We're not coming back, but we've known worse so it's worth
I go there for lunch with colleagues from time to time. Always finely crafted and delicious dishes. The kind of places where there is not a plethora of choice but where you know that there is a guarantee of freshness on the products and a reasoned vision (origin, quality). Always pleasant and I will return with pleasure. Glad places like this continue to exist
