Food is great, I have to say that first. Unfortunately I came here for a birthday dinner this past month, and arranged for a per person menu with individual apps and dinner which is confirmed in the email where I coordinated with someone. Once we were all seated it was all brought family style which I stated I didn’t want in the email, which was a bummer as we had many vegetarians and people with dietary concerns. I didn’t get to say anything in all the chaos, and wish I was asked first before they started bringing food out as the entire party wasn’t there. I think everything was great in my own experience. The pasta and food came out fairly quick. The pasta was cooked to perfection, not too chewy or soft. The bills for 5 people was around 160 including tips which is not bad at all. We got the mussels appetizer, it has a clean taste, pretty light appetizer to get started with. I also got the special gnocchi of the restaurant, and all of my other friends got the carbonara and spaghetti meatballs, eggolant parm. They said it was good, I think my gnocchi and carbornara was the best one out of all the dish. The atmosphere and the decorations in here is very chill and cozy. Would be a cute date for the couples.
Visited La Nonna with my girlfriend two months ago and we still talk about it! Easily the BEST Italian food we've had and cannot wait to go back! I can highly recommend the Chicken Marsala.Aside from the delicious food, the staff was so incredibly friendly and attentive. More than happy to support this local family business.Parking: Parking is street-only and meter-paid.
Great date night byob spot. We started with the arugula salad. The candied walnuts were a nice touch with the goat cheese. We had the carbonara and bolognese for our entrees both very tasty. The polenta was especially yummy in the carbonara. To finish we had their affogato. It was definitely a perfect finishing touch to a great nice at La Nonna.

Certainly a hidden gem. Food was delicious. My fiancé had the chicken parm which was great and I had the fettucine bolognese, so far the best I’ve had. The service is incredible, very informative of their ingredients and they make sure to take care of all your needs. Overall, I recommend the restaurant and hope to be able to visit again.
We made a reservation for a large party online and had to pay $15/person to reserve the table, but when the check came there was no credit for the reservation charge. So, be aware of that if you go with a large party.Food was good. Our guests were happy ? cash only and they of course have an ATM for a fee
8.3/10 Went here for restaurant week. Everything was delish. A little slow on the service as it got a bit busy but that won’t keep me away. Will def be going back to check out the full menu.
Among one of the best BYOBs in Philadelphia for Italian food. Enough said everything on the menu is incredible and check the chalkboard for the specials.
