This is one of my favorites restaurants in Lille. I've been going there for years and I have never been disappointed. Of course, we can never help ourselves to get anything other than their wonderful menus... the salmon gratin is to die for, and all their salads are exquisite - what's more, you can add their house sauce to make it all so much creamier. Their specialty are tarts, so go for it! On Valentine's day we had a wonderful dessert experience - a chocolate raspberry dream!The staff is so nice and helpful and fun, I recommend it!
First time in Lille and found this place in the "Rough Guide".Staff were really nice and helpful and put up with our broken French (their English is good).Nice place too/rustic and the food was great.We found mainly open pastries to eat but loads of combinations and 2 mains,a shared pudding and wine about £28 (2xhalf litres house wine about12 euros ).We went back in an afternoon for a glass of wine , crepes and a slice of lemon meringue that was the size of a small planet-great!
We only had a short afternoon to spend in Lille, and were happy to pop on this local cuisine restaurant. Service was quick and kind, food was delicious. They offer a variety of Chti (normand) dishes with "formulas" where you chose up to 3 dishes and a drink, great value. A lot of dishes include the local Maroilles cheese (yumm!). I recommend, especially if you're wandering through the old town looking for a nice lunch place.
A return visit to this great estaminet. A wonderful place in the old town that is worthy of a repeat visit. A reasonable choice of dishes and if you like quiches then you are in luck. The food is lovely with decent portion sizes, there is a decent choice of beers if you are so inclined. The service is good and the surroundings are nice.I'm sure we'll be visiting again next year.

In the tourist heart of Lille yet not touristy at all. Ate there once in the evening and once at lunchtime. Generally used by locals. Food really good and staff very friendly. English menu available but French menu not difficult to understand. Set menu excellent value.
We came across this place just wondering around Lille and stopped for lunch. Delicious food and a great value lunchtime menu. Deserts are an absolute must! Particularly recommend the lemon meringue pie!
The staff has changed but remains as well by the large decrease in quality kitchen. The alcoholic boss who comes to tell his life...
We had lunch here, and it was really good. The waiting staff were very helpful, and spoke good English if your French isn't great.
