Disgusting service! I had this booked for 7 of us for my daughters 17th birthday…. We arrived and was told they were closing as there wasn’t enough people there and the cook had gone home. They had just kicked out a couple who were sitting down….. after I explained I had a booking and it was my daughters birthday, they lied and said I did not have a booking even after I showed them my confirmation email!…. I was understandably fuming and upset as I still am days later…. To have no contact prior to our arrival to inform us of anything, to lie to my face about a proved booking and to almost ruin my daughters birthday is disgusting and unforgivable. We went to the restaurant for Mother's Day with a group of 6 people. The food was fantastic, as we enjoyed a variety of traditional roasts, lasagne, and fillet steak, all of which were delicious. Unfortunately, the cocktails were not good and didn't taste like they were supposed to. However, we received a refund for them. It seemed like they were busy and had a less experienced staff member making the drinks. Despite this, the service was friendly and efficient. The wine was just average. We would definitely return to this restaurant, but we would skip the cocktails next time.
Restaurant was cold, the waiter tried to put the heating on but it remained too chilli for comfort. That alone would not have forced me to give 2 stars, but the food we ordered was not good. I had a carbonara which was swimming in oil. I felt sick for the rest of the evening. 2 bowls of pasta, 2 drinks each and a bottle of fizzy water was £78. The restaurant was empty so at 7.30, he got the mop and bucket out and started washing floors
I was recommended to try this restaurant by a friend, and I am so glad I did. The atmosphere is lovely and cozy, and the staff are very friendly. We opted for the specials menu, which offered a variety of options like burgers, pasta, and more, along with a glass of red wine. For dessert, we enjoyed a coffee and I chose affogato, which was delicious. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty.

The service was the best, a weekday evening so not too busy but still a lovely vibe, the music was good and the waitress was so lovely and gave amazing recommendations. It’s at the end of my road and haven’t been before, but it’s going to be become a staple. The food was outstanding and very good value for money.
WOW!! This is the best Italian food we have ever had in Sussex! The food is delicious and leaves you craving more. The service from Max and the owner Amanda was exceptional. The atmosphere and restaurant are truly special. We will definitely be returning soon! 5 stars all the way!
The food, ambiance, and service at this restaurant were fantastic. All 18 of us in our group enjoyed our meals and had a great time. The menu had a diverse selection of dishes to choose from. The restaurant was busy even on a rainy Monday night.
Great food and a wonderful atmosphere the gentleman serving us made us feel so welcome. When back in Brighton we will be sure to return Mr Marseilles’ bien fait et Merci
