La Piazzetta is one of the oldest restaurants in Cannes. The decor inside is very traditional and worth seeing. It is behind the Cannes Hotel de Ville and across the road. It is much more than a Pizza restaurant and serves some very good Mediterranean dishes. And all the usuals, moules chips, Aioli on Fridays etc. but, also some fine cuisine. The plat du jour is good value and there are a couple of choices every day. You need arrive by 12h30 or the daily specials will have gone. There is a nice eating area outside which is covered when the weather is cold and it is long enough that you can dodge the smokers. We often eat there in the winter.
We had a terrass table overlooking Cannes and the sea. The piazza is beautiful with old treas, a fountain, nice white suspended lamp globen. The restaurant itself is cosy and indoors would certainly be ok. We paid Eur 16 for a glass of Nero d'Avola, fax fillet served as we asked for, perfect fries and a fresh sallad, a good espresso afterwards. Perfect and smiling service. Sounds very much ok? It was!
Very bad price quality ratio. Pizza regina with little ham and too much cheese, in_digable, damage to a restaurant that says italian. 20€ a mediocre quality tartar with non-home fries. In short, it's not the memory that I was 3 years ago, quality has fallen a lot and not prices. The only advantage is the place and for this around there is better for the same price.
A service with young seemingly new waiters who didn't control the drinks card!I order a multifuits: there's no more I ask for a nice juice, we offer him a fishing nectar: okay!We'll come back and ask me if a pear nectat suits me!!!!I admit that I had little for the rest and took only a drink....

Too bad for such a beautiful setting, whether the service is also deplorable, we are in a pizzeria but there are no more pizza pasta... Tasteless pizzas, and servers that try to give us the most expensive dishes while they know nothing about the dish. Too bad...
Shame!!!!! How can we read comments like what smiling staff?!!! Even not the trade they even say it very badly eat a coffee warmed it shouldn't even exist this kind of establishment 119 euros to do nothing eat it is really a shame !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Restaurant well located on a small square of the old Cannet. Smiling and attentive servers. Too bad the card isn't at the level. Halfway between the pizzeria and the traditional restaurant, the balance is not done. Not bad but not good either.
Welcome to very nice waitress, nice and smiling service.. Little Bemole the escalope of ceps a little too salty. For the rest a simple and nice restaurant but no more for the meal, pleasant setting.. We're just going to eat

Very nice staff but heavy and tasteless cuisine. The worst, the lasagna, a 500g chopped steak all dry under three lasagne plates... unmangeable!
