in col du pre, near beaufort, this is a magnificent restaurant with a large panoramic terrace (they must pre-telephone and book on busy days) with magnificent views of the mont blanc and the entire snow-covered comb over the region. the. space runs smoothly and sweet with a highly efficient servedam and kitchen kitchen kitchen. specialties are regional dishes (although the Beaufort cheese I ordered was suddenly off, and I had to replace with an omelette). it opens during the day when the snow melts, and evenings from mid juli to end august, provided they don't mind the sometimes scary driving narrow winding mountains. in principle, this place is open at the beginning juni until mid oktober....
We stopped for lunch in La Pierra Menta earlier this month after visiting Lac de Roseland and it was our second surprise of the day. The first was just how stunning the lake and the surrounding area is and the second was finding this little...gem in the middle of nowhere! We each had omelettes and fries and it was delicious, very fresh and tasty. We had a berry crumble for dessert and it was absolutely delicious, it wasn’t cheap at €7.80, but it was so tasty. Wine was good and very reasonable. The total for 4 omelettes, 4 fries, two (small) glasses of wine, one coke, half litre of water, one coffee and three desserts was €83.40. following the recommendations of tripadvisor we had booked for lunch and were installed on the terrace overlooking the lake of roseland, facing the white mountain with a view to 270 ° on the surrounding mountains and pastures. The welcome is smiling and friendly. despite the total lack of competition, prices are reasonable. We've had a lot of savoyard charcuterie and a rabbit at polenta. The service is fast (without however pushing us to admire the postcard landscape at our feet), despite the great affluence of a beautiful August day.
We had lunch there in June. very well installed on the terrace, splendid view, wonderful place (alpage school.) good food, simple local specialties,but fresh products. very nice and efficient service. Nothing to say in fact. Attention, on the other hand, the access by the neck of the prep (by arèches) is very narrow and impressive for those who are not accustomed. It's better to get up on the lake side.

We entered this pizza restaurant expecting just to get a quick pizza and maybe even as a takeaway. The place itself did not impress us much. But there was a space for us, so we stayed to have pizzas. And that was a very fortunate...choice. The pizzas were excellent! And the salad we ordered as well. Truly a good place to go for pizza.
very good restaurant with a spectacular view. the food was good, the service was friendly and efficient, we had a very pleasant lunch on a sunny day. I recommend you stop here when they're over or close, and I'm looking forward to going back to the next...Summer!
the view is truly spectacular, at least if they have a table on the terrace. the service was not so welcoming that eating was ok, but the steak was not to eat. cafe gourmet was nice, but not one of the best we had.
the most beautiful lunch, a great service and a fantastic view. the caffe gourmand was super, and the handcrafted beer was delicious. also for children!

By our curiosity we found this restaurant with a perfect view and good lunch just of the Routes des grandes Alpes. We recommend this with nice weather.
