Four of us had lunch here last week. It is a lovely restaurant right on the beach. Unfortunately the food was not great. We had a Cesar salad with some awfully cold breaded chicken strips and far too much dressing. A beef tartare with fries which was good, and a Niçoise salad that came with lots of capsicums but no potatoes or green beans. My friend commented on this to the waiter that it really wasn't a Niçoise salad ( she is French and from Nice!) his reply was that he thought that she was on a diet!!!!! Despite most of the staff being very pleasant we would not return. There are far too many nicer restaurants, in that area, Boucanier and Marco Polo. Both consistently excellent.
With the Cabanon La Plage is one of the top 2 spot on The Beach in the Mandelieu area. Most of review as negative about the waiting time. We book the Easter lunch and was full but arriving a bit later 13h45 we were out of peak time we had very good food (shrimps were very good), great salads.. service was quick and we had just to wait a bit for the coffee but absolutely in line for a lunch in a beach on a bank holiday. We really enjoyed and the staff even if under pressure was kind enough. We recommend considering the pricing in line with what the place offer. Recommended
Very bad service! No smile and the only feeling you will have is to annoy them all!! The waiters are really unprofessional and poor! They will pressure you to order as fast as possible. The food is not even good... They forgot half of the order... maybe 10 persons was a way too much for them. A waiter even drink the Cocktail of a Client on the way to the table... to taste maybe.Unacceptable staff and poor food! Good luck to the Owner with this poor Team! We are tourism professionals and will never recommend this place!
Have been many times but this time the food was disappointing and a little over priced for what we had. Chips were cold. I was given a glass for my wine which I started to drink from when my friend noticed that it was broken badly along the rim. I was so lucky not to have cut my mouth open. Waiter apologised but won't be returning in near future

The perfect setting for a lovely lunch. On the beach, with a very relaxing and chilled atmosphere.Plenty to choose from on the menu. Very friendly and approachable staff. I bet in summertime it is busy and with some chilled music and a glass of rose in hand I would be there like a shot!
all winter, we loved going there. Now that there are lot's of tourists, they obviously do not see a reason to make an effort. Impolite, expensive, bad quality- better do not go there... what a pitty...
Not good enough. Slow service, a bit of good old bad attitude and very average food...topped by a €9 mousse au chocolate which cost them €0.75 at Metro. Why pay for this? Not me, not again!
Went for dinner one evening. Lovely beachside setting. Prompt friendly service. Great food....plus live music for night. Lots of huts, chairs and soft beds to relax on sand at waterfront.
