La poissonnerie moderne

Sadly the service from the waitress, (daughter of the owner, incredulously), was exceedingly rude. I am a frequent visitor to Trebes, being a home owner, and my French is improving, but I didn't understand the explanation of the fish of the day. When I said I didn't understand, she simply shouted it in French louder. I therefore beckoned the owner, who also only used the sane words in French. The waitress then came over to say it was like cod. Why did she not just say that when I asked??? For a restaurant to have repeat business they pught to be polite, and explain things to foreigners. We went for lunch this afternoon at the Restaurant La Poissonnerie Moderne au Bord du Canal in Trèbes, part of the Groupe le Patrimoine de St. André de Roquelongue, which chose this restaurant.... I think it's an excellent choice: friendly restaurant, Clean, Good welcome, Choice of varied dishes, Presentation of dishes in beautiful and copious fish shaped plates, Excellent cuisine, for my part, I had Goat Salad as a starter then the Skate served with fries , delicious and tasty salad and small vegetables, and crème brulée for dessert then verbena/mint infusion... Delicious fish, fresh and tasty, tasty products, excellent cuisine Congratulations to the Cook and the entire Family team! Good va...

Déçu de notre soirée, nous avions vu tant de beaux commentaires ici que nous nous sommes dit que nous pouvions passer à côté de ce restaurant, et bien si on aurait dû éviter!!!Le plan de patte aux fruits de mer est à éviter, les pattes baignent dans l'huile et sont immangeable.Pour ma part c'était moules frites, avec 16 frites, je les ai compté car la taille du plat de frite m'a surpris!!!Je ne parle pas du dessert du jour, 1 profiterole, une seule et bien industriel alors que sur la carte ils se vantent de tout faire eux... j'irais bien voir leurs congélateurs pour savoir si cela est bien la vérité. Alors voilà pourquoi cette notation assez basse...Dommage car pour beaucoup cela a l'air d'u...

Restaurant recommandé par la superbe chambre d'hôte la cigarière à Carcassonne, et là ce fut un feu d'artifice sur nos papilles, tous les poissons et coquillages frais....Service au top, ils travaillent en famille et méritent de travailler...Il faut réserver nous étions à l'extérieur au bord du canal du midi....Nous avons passé un super moment et espérons revenir y manger, tout était top....

resto au bord du canal du midi spécialité poisson venu déguster une planche de tapas et la barque du pécheur prévu pour 2 personnes on a dégusté a 4 adultes et on a eu du mal c est très bon très copieux patron et ces filles super sympa a découvrir

Highly recommended. Beautiful tuna, salmon and muscles. Very attentive and quick service, traditional French cuisine. Would definitely return.

Très bon repas...personnel hyper sympa et dynamique. Petit bémol pour les vins en pichet pas terribles....
