Over priced food for the quality. Waiters were undertrained and didn’t know their own specials menu. They kept knocking over glasses while pouring our drinks. Escargot were clearly microwaved. Steak was raw (asked for medium rare), asked to send it back and said I didn’t want another. They tossed my steak on the grill and brought it back. Duck was dry. French fries were good and crispy though. Incredibly slow service. Waited an hour for apps then another hour for entrees. We ate for the first time last night. The meal was good and I would go back if that was the only thing rated, but service was off-putting. Our waiter ignored us when we were seated and did not welcome us. He just went around our table serving and talking to the other tables. It took forever for anyone to get us water (even though he saw us) so we opened our wine ourselves to get something to drink (and as a note waiter never refilled our wine or water the rest of the night). My family and I had a lovely brunch experience on Sunday. Sitting outside in the spring sun set the perfect tone for our meal. The French onion soup was the standout dish for me - the most delicious and well-executed classic I have ever had. The beet salad was also a hit, with a nice nutty flavor and just the right amount of blue cheese crumbles. We couldn't resist trying each other's entrees, all of which were created by Chef Patrice and left a lasting impression on us. We will definitely be returning to this fantastic restaurant to enjoy good food, family, laughter, and life. The service was excellent and the restaurant was very well-maintained.
We celebrated our anniversary at this restaurant and were seated outside. It was our first time dining here and it was amazing! The atmosphere was lovely with the plants, lighting, and live music. We tried the escargot and fresh oysters as appetizers. I chose the Corvina and my boyfriend had the Duck special for our main courses. The food was incredibly delicious! The food at this restaurant was below average and served with an air of arrogance. The management was biased and hostile. The meat dishes were so bad that they were reminiscent of a door stop. When I complained about the poor quality of the meat, I was told that I didn't know how to eat it and that we were not fancy enough customers to dine there. Every person should be able to enjoy a lovely dining experience without being belittled. This behavior is shameful.
This restaurant is one of my favorite dining spots. What sets it apart is its convenient location in the suburbs, away from the hustle and bustle of Philly and Manhattan. The food is incredible, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the decor with the garden is simply stunning and peaceful. The restaurant is family-owned and run, and they do an excellent job. I have dined here for Sunday brunch and dinner, and I can't wait to go back again.
An excellent evening...great food, excellent service..we sat outside in a pretty garden setting! ...its a little pricy..but everywhere seems to be so you might as well spend it well! Two minor opportunities...they did run out of special additions...AFTER the waiter told us about them ..if you 're outside the train comes by is RIGHT there close enough to make the wall move..We weren 't prepared..
The restaurant's presentation was excellent, with a lovely atmosphere. Our server, Delroy, was very friendly and knowledgeable about every dish on the menu.
