This restaurant is now called Jo et Jack and it's fabulous. In fact it was our best dinner in France in a long time and by far the best ever at OuistrehamWe chose a starter of the day consisting of oysters cooked with smoked salmon in a wonderful leek, wine, saffron and cream sauce, it was exquisite. My husband took the Petit carpaccio de Boeuf which was beautifully presented with homemade pesto and salad. Our main courses were fresh tuna steak served with a delicious sauce and carrot purée which was just excellent and chicken breast with a curry sauce and toasted almonds. All cooked to absolute perfection with a great knowledge by the chef who has a brilliant palate. We were not planning on t...

We came here Sunday evening, expecting a fairly ordinary run-of-the-mill French restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The food and service was excellent. After aperitifs the local delicious artisanal beer and a kir we both had the Menu Jack. The goat’s cheese and...smoked salmon starter would not have been out of place in many a Michelin starred restaurant, the salmon escalope for the main course was equally delicious- complemented by potato gratin or crispy, dry(not fatty) chips and desserts of chocolate layer cake and lemon meringue speculos finished of an excellent dinner. The carafe of Petit Chablis was the perfect wine to fully compliment the meal. Unsurprisingly the restaurant was...

This is an attractive brassiere decorated in black and beige. Smart but not too smart. The food was good but hardly inspiring. I chose the choucroute of the sea. A selection of shell fish and catch of the day on top of pickled cabbage with a slightly creamy sauce poured over the top. This may not have been to my taste but not even the fish was particularly well cooked. I finished off with a plate of rather aged cheese but washed everything down with an extremely good 2014 St. Nicholas de Bourgueil. The staff were really charming and notwithstanding the rather average food I enjoyed the atmosphere in the restaurant.Would I go again? Yes if several other restaurants nearby were closed!

This is not the cheapest place in Ouistreham but worth the extra. A course menu for euros with a superb ballotine of eglefin, beautifully cooked veal in a light mustard cream sauce and a wonderful chocolate and coconut desert. A carafe...of medoc was euros which is a bit on the pricey side and the could do with including a cheaper house wine. A cider framboise aperitif was lovely as was the service and I left bien mange albeit for euros with a modest tip. The only real criticism is that until the place filled up a little there was a rather morgue like atmosphere. Bare stone floors need a little ambience so a little musique s’il vous plait. Selected purely on its presentation and menu, one of many restaurants in the pedestrian area of the town, this restaurant proved to be a winner. A decent menu, with a couple of set menus to also choose from, and a very good wine list to...boot. We chose the lower price set menu (I think around per person), apéritives, a Petit Chablis) and ended up with a Bill of The set menu main courses of veal and Dorade were interesting and varied, a good chef undoubtedly behind it all, and service was excellent. You’ll not be disappointed in choosing this restaurant.

Whilst waiting for our ferry , we took a stroll down avenue de la mer, and quite by chance popped into La Rascasse, it looked appealing and quite busy . The moules came in various sauces and just perfect with a bottle of Muscadet. The service was unhurried but efficient and a very pleasant atmosphere. The dishes are clearly cooked to order rather than a cauldron and much in demand .A very nice spot for a taste of the sea before leaving for England. I will return if in the neighbourhood again. The rest of the menu all looked good and very enticing.

We went there at 7 p.m and were lucky to get a table for eight people immediately. The service was super fast! Six of us ordered "Moules frites" that came in a good size. I made a good choice by ordering the sour cream ones-delicious! Two of us took "Plateaux du pêcheur", which is good for sea food lovers. We got a bottle of muscadet to accompany it all! Yummi! The only downside was that the air conditioning was blowing too hard...hence the 4 stars...

Charming restaurant with a modern decoration and atmosphere. Menu was well made with good choices. All of our plates were well dressed and tasty. (Burger's hat was slightly burned and fries were a bit moist from the cooking oil. Though the good taste made us forget all about it.) Waitresses were adorable and helpful all along. Prices were reasonable according to what we ate. (87,50€ , with a bottle of white wine.) We really recommend this place! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Located in a pretty pedestrian area, we selected the restaurant because of it’s menu choices and it’s location. We were not disappointed. We had a terrific meal, were served by attentive and friendly staff and will definitely return next time we are in the area....Very convenient for the Brittany Ferry Terminal.
