We have had the pleasure of dining here several times over he last couple of years. It is owned and run by the daughter of world famous chef Marc Veyrat who has a restaurant just up the road where it’s £250 a head. This place is fab. The service from Agis (sorry for spelling) is great, the fish fresh and even the gourmet cheese burgers are great. Beef carpaccio is superb and the salads are fresh and flavoursome. We took our two little Yorkie puppies and even they enjoyed the owners two much bigger doggies which wander around the place. The desserts here are world class, that’s all I can say. Great portions, great service and a great view with private parking. Just go it’s great.
We stopped here for lunch after a walk along the beautiful lakeside. The restaurant has a slightly rustic look from the road but do not let that discourage you. As it was winter, we ate inside, in the rather cosy dining area but the terrace has a beautiful view over the lake. The staff are very pleasant and welcoming. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. A great deal of care is put into each dish. While they are based on classic French and some Italian dishes, they also have a degree of originality. The prices are not low but very reasonable for the quality. You can also buy bread and their excellent patisserie to take away. We'll definitely be back.
A outstanding restaurant which is a product of love and care. Cerine and Sylvie were genuinely caring right from the start and made sure we went back happy and full. The place has a cosy ambience with fur rugs, lottery and books all along. The pastries and cakes are amazing. Will be back....
Take away pastries with local seasonnal fruits : balckberries and rapsberries... delicious ! Carine Veyrat is the daughter of a famous chef and she’s not very warm it is true but so talented ! Worth the stop !!! Easy to find with a nice view on the lake...
