We were sent there by the concierge of our hotel because it was near the light show at the castle we were going to see.The restaurant looked nice but the service was rude since the beginning and lacked of patience with younger adults.Worst part of it all, five out of our 12 people party got FOOD POISONING!!!! Kids included! Some ordered filet mignon, one ordered canard and one ordered entrecôte, all of them ended up with diarrhea and vomiting all night long! Something must be very bad with the kitchen, this never happened to me before! I know it was bad luck but I would stay away from this restaurant for sure!
Located opposite of the Chatteau walls this restaurant seems an attractive option at least for the sight. If this is what you seek - enjoy it, as the rest is not remarkable at all. Average touris food, dry steak and french fries, standard cheap green salad, no taste, no immagination. Wine reccommendation was a total miss as well. Attentive young crew, but if the quisine is such no surprise to find more and more tables empty.
We were a party of 12, the service was really bad but the worst part is that 5 out of the 12 got food poison and got sick, vomit, diarrhea, etc.. but not all of those 5 are the same dish, some ordered entrecôte some duck and some beef filet so something was really bad in their kitchen. Definitely a very bad experience and I don’t suggest it to anyone.
We were seated at 7pm within 30 mins all outside tables taken. Service was quick and attentive for us. We ate Duck and Chicken from the al a carte menu, meals were enjoyable with a focus on quality not quantity. All the establishments in the road under the Chateau have a licence to print money but the cost aside it was somewhere I would recommend.

As you walk about Place Michel Debre there is not lack of eating establishment to choose from. Our meal and the wine here were first rate. Lobster ravioli, duck and a risotto were all prepared equally well. After a long dave of touristing it was a nice way to end the day.
We stayed three nights in Amboise area and discovered this restaurant on first night. It was so good we came on second on third nights also. Choice, value and standard of food excellent and service second to none. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough.
On the main front street with outside seating. Serving staff very friendly with good English spoken. Pasta dishes to be recommended and salads. Live music on some evenings and clients can join in singing if they like. Great venue.
The food here wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. When you're in the shadow of one of the great chateaux like Amboise, I guess you can't expect much better. The wine list was fine; plenty of local producers.

We had a wonderful dinner at La Reserve--nicely prepared dishes, service very timely and attentive and not expensive. Would go back anytime.
Not intentional but ended up eating here 2 nights. Had exceptional meals service and wine!! Nice little town as well.
