Ok, I know this place is not waterfront, and yes this place is not on the main drag with all the souvenir shops. Sometimes you need to travel back, behind the second row, to chance upon a hidden gem. Upon entering, we were greeted with a freshly prepared table. We were seated and immediately refreshed with a cold drink almost instantly. Our French language barrier was defeated by our host, as he explained the menu with a clever twist adding a French accent to his English interpretation. We were able to choose from a large variety of local, fresh cuisine. The aroma from the kitchen was empting into the street, stopping passersby, as they slowed they became trapped and too, added to the dining...
we visited ende april la plancha and received a wonderful meal, well presented and delicious. we had the set menu which was very good price was about € 17.00 for 3 courses. more general starter of mixed sausages and pasted, beautifully presented grilled chicken pieces served on a spit between two wooden uprisings, with accompanying salad and pommes. after that we had the rice pudding delicious! a nice red wine accompanied our meal and we ended with a few calvados. all in all a very pleasant introduction experience to Arromanches-les-Bains. well recommended, do not miss!
Went here on a Thursday evening in may after staying in arromanches for the week. Having experienced mediocre tourist food for the last few days we had low expectations. But we were blown away by the personal service, hospitality, excellent food, and reasonable price we paid. This restaurant should be on your must visit list whilst in the area. It's a genuine honest French restaurant serving food of an honest excellent quality full of flavour and taste.
Awesome food, friendly staff and really helpful in deciding best options for the 5 of us, 3 of those being children. We went on a Sunday and we couldn't make it until closing and the chef stayed longer to make our food. That is great service. THANK YOU.
